a compressed spring is heavier.... well of course it is, something is compressing it.... thats like saying a fat dude is heavier then a baby....

No, if you weigh the spring and a heavy object, it will weigh more than the combined weights of the spring and the object when the object is not compressing the spring. If it hurts your brain to think about this, just know that no one else understands why either
