freedom. .. it's a training gun. It is used to teach field stripping to multiple people, seeing as it's so big and such

Those guns are for hunting... kids can hunt, but god knows why you would need a pink one
User avatar #98 to #96 - Kainim (06/18/2013) [-]
I just don't feel like it's really safe giving an 8 year old a gun, you can explain him and teach him how dangerous it is and how to use it, but accidents are much more likely to happen when kids are involved. I'm from belgium and my parents knew a family who owned a gun, it was always empty and the kid was used to it being empty. one day he played with the gun along with a friend, for some reason it was loaded, gun went off, kid died. if you give kids kidsized guns, i feel like such tragedies are more likely to happen.
User avatar #104 to #98 - mookiez (06/18/2013) [-]
It is better to give kids guns. It teaches them about the dos and don'ts My dad gave me a gun when I was 8. This way people don't grow up and not know how to use it properly and kill them selves. And if something happens to the kid it is the parents fault for being stupid and not showing proper gun safety. Treat the gun as it is always loaded. No matter what. If they taught the kid that he would not have died.
User avatar #105 to #104 - mookiez (06/18/2013) [-]
And there should always be an adult present when the kid is holding the gun.
#114 to #105 - Kainim (06/18/2013) [-]
absolutely agree on that one, still that doesn't seem to prevent accidents
User avatar #115 to #114 - mookiez (06/18/2013) [-]
They should not let him play with it. A gun is not a toy. They should always have it put up where it is locked. That is the fault of the parents. If you teach them, by the time they are 13 they should be able to use it alone. Because of years of training with the parents. The kid in the picture looks to young. 8 years is when you should first do it. My friend about 21 years old. ( I was 18 at the time when he was 21) He wanted to shoot my 12 guage, I asked if he knew what he was doing, he said yes. I gave him the gun and he swung the loaded gun around and it pointed right at my face, if that went off I'd be dead. If someone would have taught him at a young age then he would not have not that. Guns are not toys and if anything happens it is the parents fault. I went over to someone elses house before and this dumbass kept putting a pistol to his head ( a revolver ) and pulled the trigger. I was wishing there was a bullet in it so the gene pool cleans up a little bit. Anything happens it is the fault of the parents for being so damn stupid. Age 8 is best to introduce them to guns. Not ******* 5.

they did teach the kid that, but it's a kid, and it doesn't always think straight while playing

My 7 y/o cousin has his own .22 his dad is so strict even when he is cleaning the gun nobody is allowed downstairs (where he cleans it) he doesn't even let them play with it when it isn't loaded, same thing with bb guns my uncle is strict as hell. But I get how you feel like that
Whenever they go hunting the person w/ the gun always is in front

Have a nice day

Did happen one recently, few weeks ago I think, Kentucky I believe, 5 year old shot his younger sister or something, she hero'd.
User avatar #101 to #99 - Kainim (06/18/2013) [-]
exactly, and it was with a kidsized gun, it's gonna be a whole lot harder to use a regular sized gun, like the one above those kiddy guns, they can barely even hold that thing

"Downloadable content" Basically addons for games where they want you to pay more to experience more of the game. Example: Call of duty has DLC where you get special camo for your guns.

I do believe that is for teaching how to take the gun apart and maintain it, makes all the tiny pieces easier to identify so you know what to look for when handling the actual things
completely to scale, it doesn't actually fire though

Americans make all these freedom jokes to cover the fact that all of our freedoms are slowly being taken away.

That's just an old fiberglass model for teaching troops how the M16 rifle works.
It's not an actual gun.
However, when it comes to real big guns you could always buy an anti tank rifle, especially if you live in Canada where they legally count as hunting rifles.
User avatar #76 to #47 - nightdge (06/18/2013) [-]
I bet they call them moose vaporizers...

If not, i'm sorry....
User avatar #77 to #47 - imnotkickthecat (06/18/2013) [-]
well since the moose tend to walk away when a semi runs into them at 70 mph. Im thinking you need an anti tank gun.
