am i the only one who's never had an issue with money in skyrim? there is literally nothing worth buying, and i always have too much stuff to sell.

and that's why I do my best to stay level 1
it worked in Obilivon, it took me a lot of saving up to buy that one powerfull shield, and I was actually happy when I could finally afford it
not so much in Skyrim where you end up with a few hundred rings because vendors run out of money, and it's not like shopkeepers ever have cool, enchanted stuff for sale

even legendary items pale in comparison with what you can make yourself. Which does make you wonder.

somehow in your travels you become like the greatest blacksmith who has every lived just by making 20,000 leather bracers.

I uh... I already am
I set all my skills to 100 and the game on hardest, but to offset that I have a mod that lets me recruit all the companions I want
so I have 3 companions, I can kill bandits in one hit (like I should, swinging a two handed axe into the chest of a barely armoured dude and all) but I have a LOT of trouble taking down "bosses" and dragons
I even have a mod that makes dragon types random, so there's a chance my lvl 1 with 100 health will run into a legendary dragon, do you know what happens then? you ************* run dude, you run, like you should

meh your experiencing the game using cheats from the start renders your opinions invalid.
User avatar #52 to #50 - fuzzyballs (06/16/2013) [-]
I cheated once
and only to make it better
guess how many perks I have? NONE
it's still the same game, but I'm a little more powerful level 1
User avatar #54 to #52 - sanguinesolitude (06/16/2013) [-]
but all your skills to 100... thats like 100 hours of gameplay gone.
User avatar #56 to #54 - fuzzyballs (06/16/2013) [-]
...maybe you haven't noticed, but I don't care about getting 100 in every skill
I only use the skills I want to use
I don't even improve weapons and armour
User avatar #58 to #56 - sanguinesolitude (06/16/2013) [-]
seems strange, but fair enough.

hm so if all skills are maxed you cant level up right?
User avatar #60 to #58 - fuzzyballs (06/16/2013) [-]
did you even read my first comment?
"and that's why I do my best to stay level 1"
the only other way is to never open that skills screen, and that's bound to happen by accident sooner or later
User avatar #61 to #60 - sanguinesolitude (06/16/2013) [-]
i dont understand the why, but i respect your decision to play in such a queer ungodly way. by the nine, someone has to.
User avatar #62 to #61 - fuzzyballs (06/16/2013) [-]
holy ******* **** you are one stuck-up little ****
did you maybe think some people prefer to have npc's walking around with iron weapons and armour instead of ebony?
User avatar #63 to #62 - sanguinesolitude (06/16/2013) [-]
stuck up? i just said i respect your decision to play that way.

skyrim doesnt have many npcs with super high level armor like oblivion did even at very high level. And even if it did, good equipment on npcs seems a strange reason to not level up and take advantage of almost half the game you are avoiding by not crafting, leveling, smithing, enchanting, etc.

calm down little bro

Fuzzyballs doesn't calm down, he's one of the biggest douchebags on FJ

ya I'm the same way. I can usually sell what armor or weapons i've picked up, but I'm left with a ******** of potions, misc items (gems and whatnot) and scrolls because to sell more than 4 of anyone of those things (except for potions) means you've just used up all the money the vendor had available
User avatar #32 to #30 - sanguinesolitude (06/16/2013) [-]
yeah random potions end up being sold a ton, and i would rather sell the heavy things. in my various houses i probably have hundreds of thousands of septims worth of potions sitting unused.
User avatar #33 to #32 - whycanticaps (06/16/2013) [-]
I usually wait until I have about 50 pounds worth of potions, and then just dump them on the ground because I can't be bothered going city to city trying to sell them all
User avatar #35 to #33 - sanguinesolitude (06/16/2013) [-]
i hate leaving things of value. Which is why my many houses are overflowing with unsellably priced goods.
User avatar #37 to #35 - whycanticaps (06/16/2013) [-]
It almost makes you want to put points into speech so that vendors will have more money, but you know, those points are better spent elsewhere haha
User avatar #38 to #37 - sanguinesolitude (06/16/2013) [-]
speech is maxed. but they just dont carry enough gold. then you do the old, ill buy all the expensive things like soul gems so you have enough money to buy my heavy **** .

at one point i unloaded my pack at home and had like 80 pounds of soulgems.
User avatar #39 to #38 - whycanticaps (06/16/2013) [-]
that would be good if you were playing with bound weapons and points into the conjuration tree, as well as enchanting, but I know that feeling
