Dude, having a fast metabolism is awful. I haven't gained weight since the 7th grade.

Well then that would not be dependent on age now would it?

Still not dependent on age which was what you were originally trying to say.

I realize metabolism slows with age, but that comes at like age 30-40. 20-30 is the peak physical time of your life. Saying my metabolic activity will slow when I hit my 20's is just wrong. Also I was saying the reasons you were giving me were not age related, not metabolism in general. Everyone knows that metabolism slows as you age. Not once you hit 20 though.

Meh the whole metabolism thing is kind of a myth.
Men have generally faster metabolisms than women, but the overall change in your daily calories burned off varies by only a few hundred between "slow metabolism" and "fast metabolism".

You're completely wrong, I'm afraid. I have met people who hardly eat yet they're as bloated as a blowfish, and I eat constantly, hardly exercise, and I'm skinnier than any girl I've ever met.

Give me a medical study that supports your claim.

Fat people who claim not to eat a lot simply underestimate how much they eat, and overestimate how much they exercise.

That's a pretty small test group, but that is interesting and it makes sense. Hopefully they'll do more studies on it, maybe on the psychological side. I'd be interested to see what they find out. It'd also be nice if they were to study us smaller folk and to figure out what's going wrong there, because if my inability to gain weight entirely lies with the difference between how much I exercise and how much I think I exercise or how much I eat and how much I think I eat, I'd love to know so I could make that change.

Well, I do lots of exercise, and lift some, but I don't get bigger, I just get defined, like... I have a six pack, lean arms and chest muscles, but I never seem to put on actual bulk no matter how much I eat, it is just hard.
