Was that "The More You Know" picture really necessary?

My dad used to use "Pokemon" and "Digimon" interchangeably and pronounce it "Pokeman". It took him a decade to stop referring to my gameboy as a "walkman" and now he calls my iPhone a gameboy.
User avatar #65 to #15 - stupidundeadzombie (06/15/2013) [-]
My Dad did the same thing with the Pokeman. He calls my PS3 an Xbox, He used to call my Xbox a PS3, too. My mom calls my PS3 a GameBox, so, I have no ******* clue where she got that from...

So about that fourth one...

I don't know about you, but I never complained about having to do stuff for my parents. I was too busy appreciating things like, I don't know, having a roof above my head, food to eat, getting allowance, etc.

You parents wrok to support themselves and you, you might as well help them.
User avatar #116 to #32 - tricher (06/15/2013) [-]
You see this **** makes me upset. I help out my parents and don't complain but just because they give me a roof over my head doesn't mean I owe them for life. They made the choice of having a kid, not me. I wasn't born to be a slave. That's like you going out right now to buy a dog just so you can ride it around like a horse. You want to have something? You are expected to take care of it. With that being said you should help your ******* parents or the moment you turn 18 your ass will probably be homeless if you showed nothing but disrespect. But to say I OWE them is ridiculous.
User avatar #119 to #116 - crazyolitis (06/15/2013) [-]
I never said any child owes their parents anything, but it's rather disrespectful to not do any chores, while they have jobs, take care of you, etc.
User avatar #118 to #116 - tricher (06/15/2013) [-]
Also if you have nothing to do you should do some work around this house to improve your skills and give you a good work ethic. And you shouldn't be expected to be praised for everything you do for the sake of being praised. You should do something because it needs to be done. Not because you want something. BRB going to go Weedwack the yard.
#47 to #32 - anon (06/15/2013) [-]
Well that's because you dont stand up for yourself. I didnt help my parents, I always took money from them. I treated them like **** . And I controlled that household. Thats how you live life. You grab it by the ******* balls and take control, no one told me what to do. Now im 20 on my own. And feeel like ******* **** about it. But I still got whatever I wanted. And did everything I wanted. So it worked out.

#49 to #47 - crazyolitis (06/15/2013) [-]
If it's true you were an undisciplined little **** with no respect for others. And you said it yourself: you feel like **** about it, so don't go about telling me later on that you think it was the better option.

Also, you won't go very far in life without showing respect to others. Have fun being a jobless dick.
#83 to #49 - anon (06/15/2013) [-]
Jobless? Lol. Thats very laughable. Right now Im the assistant manager in a Fracking Company, making close to 80,000 a year. I dont care about others and never will. I have a girlfriend but she is just there for the sex to me. I dont actually have feelings for anyone. I dont help anyone either. No one will help you get to the top, so I dont help them.

Jokes on you, I never had any parents!
User avatar #34 to #32 - reaperssprint (06/15/2013) [-]
Never complained, I'll be sarcastic about but my parents know I'm only ******* around. Hell, the whole reason I got a job was so I didn't have to bug my parents about money for anything. I'd avoid going out with friends and **** because I didn't want to bug my parents for money.
User avatar #35 to #34 - crazyolitis (06/15/2013) [-]
I guess I'm kind of the opposite. I'm getting allowance, but I never use it. I only spend like 5 bucks a month, at most. And I've never bugged my parents for money except once, for a laptop I needed to be able to do school stuff.
User avatar #36 to #35 - reaperssprint (06/15/2013) [-]
See, my brother and I never got an allowance. Our allowance was basically if we needed money to do something our parents would give us some to go out and enjoy ourselves. Even right now while money is tight my parents would gladly lend money over, but I knew that they were trying to save up as much as they could so I'd tell them I didn't have anywhere to go. Now it's all good though since I have a job.
User avatar #37 to #36 - crazyolitis (06/15/2013) [-]
Good for you, man. I mean it.
