Don't Blockbuster games have decals on the discs?

At the very least I'd expect there to be 'Rental Copy' printed on the disc, so the store would know if they ever got the wrong disc back.
#79 to #62 - uhhyeahfmebaby (06/07/2013) [-]
nah they didnt always do that
User avatar #82 to #79 - thewaronbeingcool (06/07/2013) [-]
I guess it depends on the store then.

All the ones I've been to did this, but then again I can count the Blockbusters I've rented something from on one hand

The last game i ever rented from blockbuster was bomberman for the n64 in like 2000, and i completely forgot i had rented it before, and like, the more i played it the more i realized i had play this before, and it was like the most amazing case of nostalgia.
But yeah, the n64 cartridges didnt really get "scratched" so, that was never even an idea, but, idk maybe they never put stickers on those for that reason, is like, the outside case isnt the hardware so it doesn't matter.
#66 to #62 - anon (06/07/2013) [-]
Nope. I did this before.

Felt awful but hey. SSBM was a serious matter and that **** wouldn't read so.
(that idea you have is good though)

It doesn't help when your year old sister stands on your Xbox 360 and laughs.
User avatar #97 to #71 - Sanguinarian (06/07/2013) [-]
**** happens that is out of your control. My friend's copy of L4D2 got scratched all to Hell because his sister accidentally knocked his Xbox over (we brought it into the living room to play on their huge ass TV. Or one time I was changing game discs and my dogs ran into the room like crazy beasts and knocked the one I was holding out of my hand.

One of my friends told me he would buy something expensive from a store, wait a few days and go back and grab the same item off the shelf and return it with the receipt from the actual sale. So he'd get his money back and still have the item at home.

Is this actually possible or do the more expensive items have a specific code?

Why didn't I think of this.

My brother did this with Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 at 2nd Cinema Video (it's like blockbuster).

And, yes, to this day, he still is an asshole.

One thing I never got is how did people **** up there disc so much, why would some one shell out 20-60 bucks on something then treat it like **** and not just simply put it in a case when not using it, or why do some people have the gull to be supper disrespectful with something they rent. Plus how do some disc get so messed up its like people went out side and skipped it across the road. Just needed to mini rant, post reminded me of when I go to Hastings and none of there DVDs work.

I have a friend whose family actually throws away their video game, DVD, and CD cases and then just shoves the disks inside one of those massive ******* disk holders. Then they just have ******* stacks of disks everywhere. Needless to say those games, movies, and probably CD's are pretty ****** .
On a side note: He's also one of those people that sets a book... my book... down on the spine rather than putting a bookmark in it. Everytime I see him do that, I feel like pissing fire.

#87 to #83 - creosote (06/07/2013) [-]
I know. It sucks on a practical level too: It's far easier to find what you're looking for by just looking through cases. Instead you have to pull out that massive ******* thing, search through the unorganized mess, and then if you can't find your desired item there, you have to start looking through piles of disks. It's rubbish.
#88 to #87 - darkace (06/07/2013) [-]
Let me guess they also ignore the hole in the center and just hold the disc like a Frisbee.

No, but that's what I tend to do.
