In Britain we seem to get the middle bits of every type of weather. Never too hot, never too cold. Just a horrible mixture of okay-ish temperatures, lots of rain, the occasional flurry of snow and some sunshine. That's it. Never extreme, just always mediocre and ****** . It's literally like the colour grey became weather.
User avatar #89 to #18 - spartusee (06/03/2013) [-]
Dunkirk Maryland, America, is classified as extreme whether. In the winter it gets to be 25 degrees. And in the summer it gets to be 110. Large thunder storms happen often. (There was two that last week). A week ago it was 50 degrees and 2 days ago in the 90's.

I'm in the Pacific Northwest, USA. That sounds nice to me. Then again, I live in this region for overcast weather. It's just so...regulated.
#165 to #18 - anon (06/03/2013) [-]
And then theres Scotland: 2 Weeks of Sunshine, 4 Weeks of Dry overcast, 6 Weeks Snow, the other 40 weeks is rain.
#193 to #18 - iamchicken (06/04/2013) [-]
Sounds nice to me here in Kansas it's like a ******* roller coaster with the weather. one week it's all nice and warm and breezy. Next week Tornado sirens are blaring.

Look outside!
User avatar #59 to #40 - luthervonappledorf (06/03/2013) [-]
Yeah it's sunny and a bit warm, but it's also really windy and the wind is fairly cold.

This is another of our isles common traits, its nice for us but we still complain that its not tropic
#128 to #18 - NinjaHermit (06/03/2013) [-]
Sounds great to me. I live in a "humid continental climate". We get a decent enough amount of precipitation fairly evenly throughout the year. Rain in warmer months, snow in the colder. But then we also get a lot of warm, sunny weather, too...
Which I rather dislike. My idea of a "beautiful day" is often contrary to the majority, it seems. I love the rain, snow, thunderstorms, and grey, cloudy, cool weather. I hate bright, glaring sunny days and hot weather. So, UK's climate has always seemed awesome to me.

Dude, you and I are on the exact same wavelength there.
#105 to #18 - anon (06/03/2013) [-]
Hey, I suppose we just have to be grateful we don't get Hurricanes, Earthquakes, Volcano Eruption Ash Clouds, Tornadoes or Tsunamis - In terms of weather/weather related disasters, we're pretty safe. Apart from the occasional flood
User avatar #136 to #105 - luthervonappledorf (06/03/2013) [-]
Yeah that is pretty awesome. But we don't even get thunderstorms any more. It literally just rains, is a bit sunny, snows for a while and is pretty much constantly windy. It's as if someone were to calculate the exact average of every type of weather, and give us the median of it all. It's so fitting. The single most grey country in the world with typically grey weather.

We also have this in Washington.
There was a day last year where i woke up and there was snow on the ground, but by 3:00 it was 74 degrees out.
One second it'll be beautiful and sunny, the next second it's raining/hailing so hard that you can't see stoplights

Feels pretty good.

>go to Mexico for the summer a few years back
>nice sunny day
>decide to go out with cousin to an arcade
>few hours pass we head back home still sunny
>starts raining out of nowhere, look up still sunny no clouds hear thunder off in the distance
>get home few minutes later pouring like hell streets fill up with about 2 inches of rain in less than 5 minutes wind and thunder/lighting
>make paper boats and watch them sail down the street
it was a good day.

I have recently left Prague to attend a drawing course in nature (mandatory in our school) and getting out of the city center was difficult. The cops are not letting people into the city either, from what I have seen.

Still, it's only half the water that was there in 2002.
