can people stop getting on this "Johnson is liv"

he had a ******* laser punch through his heart and lungs leaving a massive gaping hole in his chest, the fact he could fire the spartan laser is a miracle itself

he then told the chief to fire the ring, leaving him to die there

the platform he was on fell into the main firing core of the halo ring

the ring fired destroying every single thing for hundreds of light years

the ring itself then exploded along with the ark just to ******* make sure

and then the pieces left after the giant **** storm of death were floating around in space with no recyclable oxygen, no gravity and no atmosphere at all outside of our galaxy

if Johnson could survive that then the only explanation possible is that he is actually Morgan Freeman

Well actually the real Johnson dies at the end of CE

He was on Halo when Master Chief ****** it's **** and blew it up

If you beat it on legendary you see the mini cinematic of him standing outside the Pillar of Autumn right when Chief ***** its **** and it starts to explode

Then Johnson hugs the elite he was fighting and it shows Halo is kill.

And then Johnson is magically back at the start of H2 and in the opening scene he mentions that how he got off of Halo alive was "classified"

According to the books he had a clone and that clone is the Johnson you play with through H2 and H3

So perhaps he has a second clone and Johnson isn't actually kill.

According to The Flood book, he gets picked up by the last survivors on a pelican right as the Autumn explodes.

Maybe Johnson is actually an android of some sort. Like a secondary AI to take care of Chef.

I didn't read the books but what I heard was the foe-hammer did one pick up before the autumn blew up and got one last group of marines off in a pelican then hiding in the debris of halo snuck into the covenant fleet and took a ship capable of slip-space back to earth

it wouldn't make sense to clone Johnson because he wouldn't remember the events of halo plus he wouldn't have the condition left from his past being a rejected Spartan 1. That's why he can't be infected by the flood

not being an ass hole just sharing information...

in the book johnson was caring a crate of plasma grenades that exploded but did not kill him and left radiation in his body. The radiation killed the infections forms.

I don't know about that (it's been a long time since I read the books) but the reason Johnson was immune to the Flood was because he was a spartan 1 (also known as the ORION Project, feel free to look it up).

ah

I always heard that he got some condition from side-effects of the Spartan 1 programme leading to his nervous system working differently not letting the infection forms latch onto him

The radiation from the grenades is a cover story for his immunity. It was explained it one of the books. He was given this explanation and believes it but it was because of project orion or the spartan 1 program.

Well actually I haven't read the books either but I'm just taking another person's word for it

But what you're saying seems to make more sense.

yeah

the little bit at the end of the first halo on legendary was just a little joke really by the dev team

I'm intrigued to see what will happen with Halo 5, I've heard it's going to be the darkest one yet

The multiplayer mechanics are intriguing. It sounds like they are going to add a lot of things the community felt was left out of Halo 4 and take out a lot of things that people were annoyed with.

yeah

Halo 4 was heading with the story and modernising the series acting almost as an experiment in gaming and a foreshadowing in story

if the Human Covenant alliance/Forerunner war happens my mind will explode

I think that would be pretty cool.

I was kind of confused actually at the beginning of halo 4 because I was used to the elites being friendly and all of a sudden you start killing them again.

the issue I know they've been stuck with is having some elites friendly and some enemy in the same area fighting between each other especially with the AI

the Covenant in Halo 4 were remnants of those loyal to Truth so of course they wanted John's balls on a platter plus the forerunners extensively changed the Eltes homeworld so they see them as gods hence why the follow the didact

Didn't bungie have that same problem in Halo 3 (at least with the other races? Or was that just to make sure that you don't go killing any allied hunters because you got confused?

It'd be nice if they could fix that
