I still have mine. I have to say though, going back and trying to play goldeneye after so many modern games is pretty hard to get used to the lack of easy camera controls again.

I cant count how many hours i spent on that game
User avatar #72 to #48 - shnoople (06/02/2013) [-]
I played the **** out of Super Smash Bros.

I was at my cousins house the other day and he had Kirby: The Crystal Shards for his Wii, and I instantly recognized it as one of the games I used to play. I started it up and nostalgia'd the **** out.
User avatar #77 to #76 - sanguinesolitude (06/02/2013) [-]
the main issue i have is that while n64 graphics were groundbreaking, they are painful to watch now. Especially on a 50 inch high def tv. Mario and the like does pretty well because it was never trying to be graphically great, but perfect dark and goldeneye look terrible.

i would flip **** if my sister ever decided to sell my N64 (although garage sales are a rarity where i live)

Whenever my brother and I would play 2 player split screen in some sort of versus mode, sometimes we would get a piece of paper and tape it so that it blocked our vision of the other person's screen. We tried not to screen peek, but sometimes it happened on accident. This solved all problems, though.

Good times.

I've been pretty good, thanks for asking. Not too much going on. I still have school for a week.

Briefly, just to see what it was.

What was it? I know someone with the name in the link.

That sucks. A bunch of my friends are already done.

It's just a bunch of pictures of some chick scarcely clothed, mostly centered on her boobs. Pretty much as I expected.

I know...
There's a chemistry teacher in my Jiu-Jitsu class and he keeps mocking me because he's on summer holidays.

I recently got bored, and fished around in my basement. I found my 12 inch, 20 year old TV and my N64. I am ashamed to admit it, but computer gaming has destroyed my ability to return to my childhood. I couldn't play it, at all....
User avatar #8 to #7 - Lintutu (06/02/2013) [-]
glorious console gaming race
User avatar #9 to #8 - charagrin (06/02/2013) [-]
Ah yes. With your DLC, limited graphic options, online play, lack of after market modifications to extend the life of games, and complete and total lack of technical support.
User avatar #10 to #9 - Lintutu (06/02/2013) [-]
>implying graphics make a better game
>implying the game isn't fine enough without dlc

While you got me on the other stuff, i must say i was only kidding cause you can't enjoy console games as you used to. I on the other hand, don't enjoy pc gaming at all. The controls feel very awkward for me when i have to when i have to blindly move my fingers to different keys in order to do certain actions. Plus, the sensitivity is TOO smooth for me. I actually prefer that slight dragging feeling
User avatar #11 to #10 - charagrin (06/02/2013) [-]
And it is the exact opposite for me. I love the keyboard/mouse combo. I have a 360, a Wii, and a PS3, plus countless "classic" consoles. Haven't turned them on in years. Even my N64 experience was early last year.
User avatar #14 to #11 - curtkobain (06/02/2013) [-]
you know since you love pc and all and dislike consoles you should definitely give those consoles to the needy...

I didn't have any friends (still don't) so most of the day I set a a split screen multiplayer game and ran around the train station map acting like I was fighting people.

dude that comment was so depressing

When Xbox LIVE came out I didn't have any internet so I could never connect to multiplayer. I didn't have it on my Xbox 360 for the longest time either so when I played Call of Duty 2 I wore the headset and talked to the AI...........

I never had a N64 growing up, but thank GOD for emulators.
Now I just need some friends...

Don't forget the Mario Kart battles. I remember when we always teamed up against our one friend then would fight each other once he was dead. Well he was too damn good and usually killed us before we had the chance.
User avatar #4 - CallMeCrisco (06/02/2013) [-]
I actually played goldeneye 4 split on that exact TV. It was hell.

CAN'T SEE **** , CAPTAIN!
User avatar #3 - threedogtwo (06/01/2013) [-]
Like OP really had friends to play in split-screen anyways.
#5 - Rascal (06/02/2013) [-]
It worked when you were 10, I have better tastes now. Stop looking through the **** stained goggles of nostalgia.
