"Tiny ass ******* tomatoes"

This is why I tend to use hyphens in statements like this, e.g.
"Tiny-ass ******* tomatoes" = really small ******* tomatoes.
"Tiny *********** tomatoes" = small tomatoes which will **** you in the ass

But how are they going to get their pudding if they don't eat their meat?!

I might just be stupid, but where does pudding come into all of this?
#57 to #50 - commanderrevanvtwo (06/01/2013) [-]
It was a British school thing in the 90's I believe, if the kids didn't eat the main course (meat) they wouldn't get dessert (pudding). It's also a line from the Pink Floyd song Another Brick In The Wall-Part 2.
User avatar #58 to #57 - whycanticaps (06/01/2013) [-]
ya I failed to connect pudding to dessert, seeing as I eat pudding as a snack.. my bad
User avatar #54 to #50 - mutzaki (06/01/2013) [-]
It's just a joke of how parents often don't give their kids dessert if they don't finish their vegetables.

Well, there's a big difference between "hurrr meat is murder!1"-vegans and people that try to eat healthy (or, as long as they don't rub it in your face, vegetarian).
User avatar #47 to #46 - sovereignsunkown (06/01/2013) [-]
yeah, i notice this too. a lot of vegetarian food is really healthy, and as much as i love meat/need the protein and iron...we should really only be eating a palmfull every week or so.
also preferably locally raised animals. **** all that corporate farm ****

well nobody is arguing against vegetables being healthy

I was being sold until you pointed out "Vegan as **** ."

Then you lost me.

These are good and all, but you have to have a variety of meat in your diet too for a healthy diet, like fish.
User avatar #68 to #67 - bigbeaufort ONLINE (06/01/2013) [-]
I usually let this kind of thing go.... but I can't.

Could you explain to me exactly which nutrients you get from meat/fish that you cannot get from being vegan/vegetarian?

While you CAN get all the protein you need from plants, meat is a much better source of it.
Eating meat is also what allowed early hominids to develop more sophisticated brains from the extra fat and protein.
User avatar #75 to #73 - bigbeaufort ONLINE (06/01/2013) [-]
While you make a good case, unfortunately meat is too much of a source of protein. People (not just Americans) consume too much animal protein.

The average consumption of meat, if you are going by food pyramids of the most historically healthy cultures, values red meat consumption at once or twice a month, white meat possibly once a week as well as fish.

While if you are aiming for serving size it would be a cut of about the size of a female palm, which would equate to about 4 ounces.
User avatar #76 to #75 - theism (06/01/2013) [-]
It's also been found that a vegan diet lacks certain key vitamins, I don't remember which ones I just remember a pregnant woman lost her baby because of a vegan diet.
User avatar #78 to #76 - bigbeaufort ONLINE (06/01/2013) [-]
By the way, have a good day. I'm off for now
User avatar #77 to #76 - bigbeaufort ONLINE (06/01/2013) [-]
I know what you're talking about, it was due to an improper vegan diet in all honesty.

A lot of people think that as long as they don't eat meat they can eat whatever the hell they want, which is not the case. It DOES take work to be a vegan/vegetarian because you aren't getting the super nutrient enhanced meat products.

Vegan diet, in recent history, has tended to lack nutrients found in dairy products. Recent "advancements" (I guess would be the word) have introduced more nutritionally sound dairy replacements. Now I know rice milk and soy milk are an acquired taste (took me a while to like it) but they serve as functional replacements for milk. You can also find vegan cheese, etc, etc.
