Number One up there...

Oh you ******* uneducated ****** . Number one is the leader, but Number Two is the god damn sciency tech guy.

Number one knows all of the secrets though.

Dexter is egocentric, unstable, and violently paranoid.
The Test twins are easily distracted seduced by attractive teenage boys.
Daria is apathetic and cynical, she needs motivation to get anything done.
Jimmy Neutron is egocentric and paranoid, and frequently makes massive lapses in judgment, as well as being a poor judge of character.
Double D suffers from clinical depression and abandonment issues, due to an almost complete lack of parental influence in his life.
Velma lacks a deep seated understanding of science, unlike most of the Illuminati, but her people skills, ability to talk to dogs, and deductive reasoning ability make her a good fit.

But together, they lack a leader. Someone to hold together a diverse group of cartoon characters, with all the likely infighting and romance hinting. Someone to motivate Daria and Double D, to keep Dexter and Neutron in line, to focus the Test twins and see Velma's potential as a secondary leader.

Sounds just about perfect for one NIgel Uno.

Dexter is smart.
Test sisters are smart.
Daria is smart.
Neutron is smart.
Double D is smart.
Velma is smart.
NUMBER TWO IS SMART.
See the god damn relevance yet?
#205 to #204 - anon (06/01/2013) [-]
The Illuminati is not the graduating class of MIT. They're not just smart - the idea is that they control the entire world. Two paranoid kid geniuses, twin teenage geniuses who go gaga over boys, two apathetic teens, and a twenty-something year old with a sweater does not an international cabal make.

Not without a leader. Number Two is not a leader, he's a gearhead and mechanic who invents crazy stuff. But he can't be put in a leadership position, he doesn't have the skills for it. You need a leader.

The twins should be replaced with Mandy.
The Grim Adventures was totally a more kick-ass show than Johnny Test.

It has more to do with their intelligence.

While Mandy isn't the average moron on the show, she doesn't exactly know much about engineering.
User avatar #14 to #9 - nevrit (06/01/2013) [-]
The same could pretty much be said about Nigel. Yea he knows a little bit, but his traits as a leader is most likely what put him up there. Mandy probably would outclass him on an influential level, seeing as how she has the compacity to enslave the grim reaper and take over the world.
User avatar #16 to #14 - potterwatch (06/01/2013) [-]
She actually did, search YouTube for The Grim Adventures of The Kids Next Door, its a crossover episode where Mandy took over the KND
User avatar #110 to #16 - nevrit (06/01/2013) [-]
I never saw a crossover, but I did know she could pull it off. One of the big pointers were the futuristic apocalypse episodes where she had taken over the future or something like that.
User avatar #217 to #9 - gidvid (06/02/2013) [-]
Ah yes, I see the correlation now, my mistake.
I just personally dont think Johnny Test characters really deserve a place within such a group.

He's too old. If it included adults you'd probably see Professor Utonium in there too.

No, this is meant to be a collection of the genius and exceptional. As such I'd replace Number 1 with Number 2 and Daria with Dib/Dib's sister.
User avatar #220 to #130 - toastersburnthings (06/03/2013) [-]
True, although Dib's sister doesn't really count as a genius.

They're all smart, but Daria stands out to me as one who does NOT belong there.

She's smart for a high school girl. Everyone else there is genius. Dexter, the twins, and Jimmy cover everything from genetics to robotics to rocket science. Double D and Numbah One are both physics breaking gadget builders, able to turn trash into usable devices. Velma's got criminology and forensics.

But Daria? What does she bring to the table? Extra sarcasm?

#120 to #90 - lordraine ONLINE (06/01/2013) [-]
I think she's there because they're drawing from cartoon shows. There's a somewhat limited pool, strictly speaking.

That being said, I'd like Kiva from Megas XLR to replace Daria. Her presence is justified (she's a genius, though not as brilliant as Coup, and she also has future knowledge, which no one else has), and her being there also gives a tacit reason for the Illuminati to exist at all.

They're a collective that's joined together with the intent of averting the Glorft apocalypse invasion that's coming.
#162 to #120 - jiltist ONLINE (06/01/2013) [-]
So then where's Mandy?

(Also I think Mandark is more appropriate than Dexter, as Mandark is lawful neutral while Dexter is lawful good.)
