I always did this as much as I could, then I started playing fallout NV and there are frickin' invisible walls everywhere.

it's not skyrim logic
that would imply the game does that, the game doesn't do that, you, the ************* player does that
and all that shows is that you're too lazy to go around, but patient enough to take twice as long to get over it
