You'd get money too... if you graduated.

I'm getting grounded after graduation cause I refuse to go the graduation ceremony and my mom is pissed about it.

I understand why you might not really want to go, but the grad ceremony is really something that's more for the family than the graduate.

They (hopefully) fed you, put a roof over your head, and loved you; always hoping you'd be happy and successful.

At the very least, go to the ceremony. You don't have to pretend to be happy about it, and you don't have to pretend to be doing it for yourself, but just go, because one day you might regret skipping it, and it's always better to do something and wish you hadn't, then not do something and wish you had (other than murder, rape, stuff like that).

If doing it for your mom isn't motivation enough, do it for 50 yr old you, who might really wish he had the pictures to show his kids and grand-kids.

Your high school grad is a once in a lifetime thing.
Don't miss out on it.

I wish I had family members that would give me several hundred dollars, I got $25 from my great aunt and uncle, $60 from my grandfather, $20 from my best friends mom, $20 on a walmart gift card from my dad, and a bottle of Jager from my Sister-in-law. I got enough to get a new phone so I am content. I would like to start building a new computer soon though.

That seems like a lot of money O.o
Unless those are 1's under those 20's, then it's still a nice amount of money...

My family doesn't believe in giving money out for graduation or even open houses.. because "graduation itself is a gift"

I'm jelly, plus your uncle is fucking amazing OP!

Time to copy a joke as anon.
