The flakeyness of the chocolate means it spreads all over your mouth in a moment. The air holes keep it light and fluffy and the high-quality cadburys chocolate melts into a smooth, creamy layer of bliss on the tongue.

If you have never tried it, over in the UK we have what we call "Flake 99s" (Soft ice-cream cones with a flake in them that traditionally cost 99p but inflation has caused the price to rise). They are literally the best kind of ice-cream out there. Especially glazed with strawberry and chocolate syrup.

Who needs freedom when you've got food like this.

There are more American people on this site than UK

and when someone from the UK shows their pride they get thumbed down.

And when there's one post about america it's all MURICAH **** YEAH

and stupid stuff like that.

But you don't see UK citizens lashing out and being butthurt all the time because if they do, they get thumbed down to oblivion

I'm not saying America is a bad country, but some Americans are so far up their own arse that they can't see any other country.

You should try working in Thorntons or even a traditional sweetshop. In Thorntons the shelves are stacked from the floor to the cieling with as many different kind of luxurious, rich chocolate goodies as they can fit in there from Champagne Truffles to solid bars of different kinds of chocolate to chocolate plaques that you can get messages written on in icing for free and all year round you can buy hollow chocolate statues that are like Easter Eggs but come in loads of different shapes.

And traditional sweet-shops are coated from floor to ceiling in hundreds of big jars of every kind of sweet imaginable. Jelly Babies, Teddy Bears, Caramels, Fudge, Toffees, Aniseed Balls, Lollypops and creme-eggs galore. They also often have machines that dispense soft ice-cream which goes wonderfully with cadburys flakes and strawberry and chocolate syrup.

(No wonder the stereotype of Brits with bad teeth exists when we've got this glorious buffet tempting us. My American cousins took back about five kilograms of british sweets each when they came over. Watching them pack their bags was like watching a group of smugglers. xD)

Alright, I'll see if I can find some
User avatar #97 to #55 - snowshark (05/26/2013) [-]
The swiss chocolate is very good, but that's about it in terms of confectionary. When it comes to sugary delectables the brits pretty much corner that market. The Swiss and Belgians have some good chocolate but for everything else you go to Britain.

That said, as a Brit I had the luxury of trying tootsie rolls. They're the only American sweet I've ever eaten that didn't taste like **** . (Hershey bars literally taste like **** to me and a lot of other people who have been conditioned on far superior european brands).
#209 to #97 - anon (05/26/2013) [-]
Belgium is known for it's pralines, which isnt just plain ol' chocolate, it's much more than that and I'm pretty sure that Belgium is widely considered the best at it

User avatar #192 to #182 - snowshark (05/26/2013) [-]
Really? It seems that across the pond the taste sensibilities are a little different. I've met people who really like Hershey bars but when my American cousins came over they said they were shocked at how much better the British stuff was. (Its from them that I got Tootsie Rolls.)

Maybe I just have odd tastes. I also really like katarzynki (a traditional polish sweet. It's wafer-thin layers of gingerbread with a dark chocolate coating to it and they come in packs of 6. REALLY tasty and I've only ever met three people who disliked them. They were my US cousins, Austin, Gabriel and Oliver.)
