This is exactly what the comment section is like on a Skydoesminecraft video.

This was legitimately funnier than the content, thank you.

Alright people listen up. 2 years ago at the winter Norway started getting in a butter crisis. This is exactly what it sound like, we had no butter. This is due to several reasons. The most important one of them is the business called Tine. The only company in Norway who is allowed to produce butter or monopoly on butter if you want. They were having a bad year with their pastries and cows who delivered less fat in their milk than usual.

Tine failed to see this coming in the future, a thing they could have easily gone over and seen. Thus they could have prevented it by importing foreign milk or butter to help. But they did not. The crisis lasted for several months without any help before we started importing foreign butter. Some might ask why we don't have any foreign butter here. It is because we have a 300% tax on imported butter in order to preserve our own butter production which would not be able to survive on the global market.

And this marks the story of the most white world problem crisis in existence. The Norwegian butter crisis.

Yup.. They tried to blaim it on Adam and James' Riiiigelig Smør
Afterwards people in DK got nervous about the show might make them fat..

Well i got to give Tine one thing. They sure knows how to manipulate the media to their way.
User avatar #28 to #27 - suckittrebek (05/26/2013) [-]
I don't think it was Tine who did that (if that's what you're implying)..
Just random citizen-idiocy

So here is the deal.
There was this norwegian kid who sold butter via the internet. He sold 360 grams of butter for 1800NOK (ca 310 USD). People were desperate.

The picture shows one butterbox with approx 100gram butter left, and some 12gram packages.

Can someone explain the butter crisis to me pls?
#18 to #14 - asrial (05/26/2013) [-]
The case is a few years old now if I got my recent history correct.

Norway had a butter shortage close up to christmas, and it was assumed we danes automatically made a market up there. It's actually well explained in the comic.
#6 - finni (05/25/2013) [-]
Yeah this is from the butter crises in Norway, back when Norway was low on butter. I remember we stopped killing cows because we needed them to produce butter and then we got a little meat crises.

Meanwhile, Brussels were working their asses off with the Euro crises and Britain was getting more and more pissed and Euroseptic parties were growing all over Europe.
#12 to #6 - kommandantvideo (05/26/2013) [-]
Why the **** would you people kill milk cows for meat? That's why you're having a butter crisis. Your people need to learn animal husbandry and the uses of different animals.

Dairy cows = keep around for milk
Meat cows = kill for meat
User avatar #23 to #12 - finni (05/26/2013) [-]
Yeah, I think it was the meat cows that got to live longer, if I'm not mistaken. I dunno, I don't paid much attention to the butter crises since didn't use butter that much back then.

I only remember I saw a news report about it.

I don't like the swedish representation in SATW. Swedes are nothing like this, we are shy as **** and never say anything to anyone, and when we do we are uncomfortable doing it.
User avatar #53 to #33 - niggernazi (05/26/2013) [-]
That is because many swedes are so damn politically correct and femenine. But i think it is a minority that are the most loud.
Me and my friends are considered to be kind of rednecky by swedish standards, but to survive in sweden you must be political correct wich i am not so i hide most of my opinions to myself and my friends, who are not so politically corect.
Man, i cannot even express my true opinions about immigration for example in my own family without starting a ********* and be called a racist.

i didn't say i was Swedish, i just meant that your opinion of what Swedes are like may not be right for the majority of Swedish males even if it is in your case just as much as the creator of this comic
User avatar #40 to #39 - lorkhan (05/26/2013) [-]
The creator of these comics are danish. And most people in Sweden are very "shy" and not very open with other people, and this is the exact opposite. There for this is more wrong than right.
#44 to #40 - anon (05/26/2013) [-]
And i'm saying the stereotype you have about your countrymen could be wrong. Maybe its just that your shy and you like to think that the people around you are aswell
User avatar #57 to #38 - vexaton (05/26/2013) [-]
Have you noticed that denmark and finland are also gay? That the hair thing and glasses might be because sweden is so technologically advanced? That sweden is not a bitch at all, but a smart fella, that is trying to help others?

You're probably an immigrant...

Greetings from Norway ************
User avatar #58 to #57 - lorkhan (05/26/2013) [-]
Immigrant? I've been living in Sweden my entire life, and there has been a few comics saying how technological Sweden is. Denmark isn't gay he has been in heterosexual relationships and so is Finland with Sweden's sister. I am not bothered at all by the whole homosexual thing, but like I said. These comics depict everything wrong.
User avatar #59 to #58 - vexaton (05/26/2013) [-]
Sorry, I didn't mean finland, I meant iceland. My mistake. Anyways, the comics depict how the country is politically, not how the people are. Like Denmark always kissing Germany's ass, and Sweden trying to be better than us. It is correct, but you're too much of an ignorant **** to see it
User avatar #60 to #59 - lorkhan (05/26/2013) [-]
Now you insult my intelligence, I know that on some points these comics only show how it is politicly but not always. Sure call me ignorant, you must be so stupid that you have nothing else to say.
User avatar #61 to #60 - vexaton (05/26/2013) [-]
Whatever man. If you don't like the comics, don't read them. If you don't want to see what they actually mean, then don't comment.
User avatar #62 to #61 - lorkhan (05/26/2013) [-]
I do kno what they mean, and I like the comics, it seems you just don't understand.
User avatar #63 to #62 - vexaton (05/26/2013) [-]
Good for you. Now let me live my life without knowing there is someone out there who can't take a joke about his own country

We did run out of butter, but we still had lots of margarine, which is not the same.
Butter is made only of cream, while margarine has vegetable oil in it.

OMG, finallly someone figured out what the difference between Butter and Margarine is. Several people, including me, did not know the difference and many people still don't. Thank you, my good sire! you've taught me something c:
