The same is true of British keyboards, only the third option is often not printed on the keys. Given how little they're used there's no need to print them and the people who do need to use them will probably use them often enough that they'll remember them off by heart.

I imagine that's the same in the US.

You can type in Chinese on and English keyboard. I think you type phonetically and if the language is set to Chinese it basically auto-corrects to the right characters or that Pinyin thing.

Japanese keyboards have the hiragana characters on them (phonetic characters like pa, ni, n, fu, tsu, etc.) and a list of kanji will come up for them to select or it will auto-correct to the most commonly used one.

#199 to #60 - rohze

(05/26/2013) [-]
A mechanical keyboard is a keyboard that uses a series of key switches that are designated by their color and are manufactured by people called Cherry whereas most standard keyboards are membranes/rubber-domes that use a rubber like key. There's also different types of switches for mechanical keyboards designated by color. The most common ones are Cherry MX Reds, Mx, Blues, MX Browns, and MX blacks and the differences between them are sound level, tactile feedback level, and amount of force required to actuate the key.

Most of the time these keyboards are used in either banks (not sure on this one, though) or town halls, or by family doctors/clinical institutes and this particular slot is for the... how should I call it... "health-insurance-id" or the actual ID now, that has the shape of a credit card. They insert this card for identification and check all other things I don't know about. Hope I could help a little. Greetings, ~Anon
