Because they're full of lies.

Seriously. 45% of Americans don't realize that the sun is a star? ******** . ******** .

If this is an actual statistic, I imagine a lot of people really don't (sadly), but most would be like me and just be smart-asses whenever asked. If somebody asked me I'd probably say the moon was a really big star just to **** with them.

It's not a real statistic. Obviously.

Eh... it could be. I'm saying it's an inaccurate one if it is, but somebody could've gone around and found that 45% of people didn't know (they would be including the smart-asses if they did find that). I don't think about stuff like this or talk about with friends, that's a piece of info some people might never get... Is it really even that useful to know?

It's basic knowledge. Taught in every elementary school in the US and has been for years. Seriously if you consider that to be a true statement you're pretty naive and have ridiculously low standards for the average intelligence of the US.

I'm sorry, I say stupid things when I'm tired.
I'm not intentionally insulting the average American intelligence, I'm trying to imagine how a ******** statistic like this could be considered true. I have several bad habits like insulting the public school system (my own bad memories of it...), exaggerating things, and coming up with excuses for or possibilities for things like ******** statistics.

If a statistic like that were true then a lot of people probably wouldn't be living long I think. (immediately thinks of the few super redneck stereotypes that he grew up with)

Lol, true, true...
Anyway, like I said, I'm tired, and this thing isn't even front page anymore so how about we call it a night?
