But if you're dog-lobsted god, you're immortal in every single way.

Zoidberg isn't immortal, his weak spot is mating season.

Why would you have such gall to harass my species for having a mating season?! Your species has a mating season, on Earth it is called Valentine's Day.

The human population has already exceeded the earth's carrying capacity. If we became biologically immortal, we'd kill ourselves.
User avatar #118 to #99 - spysappinmysasha (05/26/2013) [-]
not if we became sterile and...oh...I dont know...killed off half of them
User avatar #138 to #118 - Mortuus (05/26/2013) [-]
Calm down there, Hitler.

On a more serious note, becoming biologically immortal doesn't mean you can't die by external means. Being boiled for example. If we became sterile, we would damn ourselves. As for cloning, that's not a viable option. Cloning a population would allow them to be vulnerable to the same diseases and decrease our chances of surviving even more than they would be if we were sterile.

To the description: Only in the Eastern seaboard, back in the day, was it considered "cruel and unusual punishment" to feed prisoners lobster. Since they were bottom feeders, and so plentiful, they were compared to rats. In the rest of the world, however, they were still considered a delicacy.

I find it funny how almost everywhere, a lobster is shown to be red, but in fact Lobsters are brown/black/ red speckled

same with **** like milk. I mean they would think it's fine from their mom but it probably took some really bored guy to say "im gonna squeeze these weird things that are hanging below this cow and drink whatever comes out of them."

It was considered poor people food for the longest time. They probably caught it and were like "we either eat this or die" but then it turned out to be delicious. Then someone told the rich people, and that's why lobster is expensive.

Pics or it didn't happen.
User avatar #25 - sickey (05/25/2013) [-]
Funny thing, lobsters used to be canned into dog food, and eaten by really poor people. Then it was outfished and become a luxuary dish.

Aluminum used to be reserved for rich people when it was first mined. At fancy dinner parties the wealthiest and most powerful would be given aluminum dining ware, while those below them would dine with silver.
User avatar #29 to #26 - spikethepony (05/25/2013) [-]
That's because the current refining process for Aluminum had not been discovered, making Aluminum significantly more expensive that its properties called for.
#30 to #29 - kmichel (05/25/2013) [-]
oh I know, but it's still interesting and gives you a different perspective

That it does, my friend. The world can completely change, and the next generation will assume that their reality was constant.
