"I've got a Xbox 360 game collection worth 2031,48$, now that's useless because Xbox One can't play Xbox 360 games." keep your xbox 360 then. and the 360 didn't have backwards compatibility either and neither will the ps4.
btw the features are ******* amazing; they are adapting to modern needs and wants. The people who grew up in the 80's and 90's playing video games now have families and they want their consoles to evolve to do more.
The console wont need to be always connected to the internet. hopefully the fee/game connected to a single account wont be a thing. But ea has dropped online pass' and I doubt it's because people were angry since about everyone and their mother still bought ea games.
I'm excited about the new console and the only reason why the xbox one has received a negative reaction on the internet is because of how closed minded and ignorant people are.

the ps4 is planned to have full backwards compatibility all the way back to the ps1 games.

not that i care, unlike some people i keep my old consoles.

The problem is theyre not focussing on games anymore. I'd rather get a new console with 50 release games of which 10 are really awesome, than some multifunctional social-tv-box with 12 release games of which maybe 1 or 2 are awesome. If i want to be social ill access facebook in some other way or go hang out with some friends

"and the 360 didn't have backwards compatibility either"
except for the fact that the 360 could play regular xbox games, unless Fable, Halo, and Bioshock were all just fever dreams

Yes, I am awarre that there was a handful of games from the origina xbox that could run on the 360 but there were just as many that couldn't

bioshock wasn't an original xbox title...

Also, it was compatible with MOST xbox games, but not all. Off the top of my head, Destroy all Humans 2 isn't one of the games you can play on a 360.

It could play some games not all even then the frame rate was terrible so it wasn't worth it.
#47 to #16 - kisushima (05/24/2013) [-]
Not all. There was a list of games it could, and many more it couldn't.

At least on the PS4 I can play the games I already got off the PSN. Still backwards compatibly is great to bad it's dead.

The thing that angers me is that, with the 360, microsoft proved that it COULD utilize backwards compatibility, but instead CHOSE not to in the Xbox one.

Actually the 360 had backwards compatability for a few select games like Morrowind, Halo 1 and 2 (of course) and Starwars Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2. Those are the only ones I know of. Usually the games that were backwards compatible were platinum hits.
