Also why is it in America so many house are built out of wood instead of bricks ? Especially if you live in an area where high winds are frequent

it would knock down bricks aswell, if theres a chance your house is gonna be destroyed, better it be made of something cheaper like wood than bricks

Because in Oklahoma the Big Bad Wolf can huff and puff at up to 300 MPH... and bricks wont help save you Little Piggy.

<Two mile wide tornado that twisted metal and trees together, and had enough force to rip the skin off your body, and mutilate anything in it's path.

<hundreds of thousands of houses made of bricks.

What could go wrong?

Brick isn't going to protect you from a damn tornado, If it can throw a train across a yard, it can rip apart a brick house.

I'm from Oklahoma and a lot of those houses were built out of brick. But with a tornado of that size and speed it doesn't matter. It will go through anything.

Cheaper to build which means cheaper to rebuild.

Houses built of bricks would cause more damage when collapse

Thats the beauty of brick houses... They don't collapse because of wind :p

You obviously haven't seen any of the wreckage from OK. There are numerous buildings made out of concrete slabs that were torn to pieces.

A bloated real estate boom that sacrificed quality structures for fast production.
