But seriously, what is the difference between pansexual and bisexual?
#59 to #4 - Rascal (05/21/2013) [-]
bisexuals = like all sexes (male and female)
Pansexual = like all genders (feminine, masculine, trans, both, etc)
#8 to #4 - Rascal (05/21/2013) [-]
Pansexuals are open to bestiality. Literally.

There are many definitions of both, but as a bisexual, I feel attracted to all genders. (Cis-, trans, and all the rest)
The difference for me lies in what my ex defined as pan; As a pansexual, she felt like a person's gender was as insignificant a detail in her attraction as something like eye colour.
I often have a preference, and at this time it's female.
User avatar #5 to #4 - heartlessrobot (05/21/2013) [-]
Ok yeah, I googled it. Bisexuals like men and women, Pansexuals don't look at gender as much, meaning they like men, women, transexuals, traps, and hermaphrodites. So yeah, I'm Pansexual, not Bisexual.
User avatar #79 to #5 - lolzordz (05/21/2013) [-]

User avatar #155 to #79 - heartlessrobot (05/21/2013) [-]

User avatar #14 to #5 - lolokoko **User deleted account** (05/21/2013) [-]
But isn't liking traps and women still being bisexual?

I mean, traps are still male.
#41 to #14 - Rascal (05/21/2013) [-]
"male" and "female" refer to gender and gender identity when you say bisexual.

in terms of genetics, yes, a trap is still a male, but from a gender/gender identity standpoint, she is a woman.
User avatar #88 to #14 - srapture (05/21/2013) [-]
They're like massively pretentious bisexuals for the most part, it seems. A bisexual is attracted to both men and women. Pansexuals are the same thing, but rather than saying they're attracted to both, they make out that they are somehow completely blind to the concept of gender and only see "the person on the inside".
User avatar #149 to #88 - lolokoko **User deleted account** (05/21/2013) [-]
Yep, that seems more like it.

I don't get it, you're either female or male, not "xenomasochalatesexual".

User avatar #36 to #14 - jarmakla (05/21/2013) [-]
Well, Pansexuals generally do not care if they are a trap truly... So really being pansexual is about a personal call. Do you look at someone's body and instantly become attracted, or do you like a person's personality first?
#69 to #5 - wiredguy (05/21/2013) [-]
Okay, in advance, I would technically be the same as you.

But
Anyone and everyone in the real world is going to be really ******* annoyed if you start talking about how interesting and unique your sexuality is.
It's not.

It's okay to be pansexual, and it's really unfair and bigoted that this is the case, but it's best to not actually use the term. Just call yourself bisexual.
I've never heard of a bisexual in my life that hasn't also liked traps, and whatever else comes in between men and women. People will know what you mean.

But not all bisexuals are attracted to traps, hermaphrodites and transsexuals. Pansexuals are.
User avatar #104 to #100 - wiredguy (05/21/2013) [-]
I know there is a difference, but it's better to be happy than to be right.
And, in my genuine, personal experience of dealing with people in the real world. They get kinda confused and uncomfortable, maybe even angry, when you start lecturing them about your pansexuality, but seem alright if you say you're bisexual, and nonetheless don't assume that you are exclusively attracted to exact males and females, which regardless is easily considerable as superfluous information.
#150 to #104 - hellfiazz (05/21/2013) [-]
I've never lectured anyone about my pansexuality. I find no need to. Quite frankly, I don't think it's even necessary for people to know about your sexuality, because ever since I "discovered" my sexuality, my life hasn't changed for better or for worse, and it's not important to me that the world know who I am or aren't attracted to.

User avatar #151 to #150 - wiredguy (05/21/2013) [-]
Good! That's perfect then.
That's really how everyone should be, honestly.

Though, if you have a partner of the same gender, and someone goes "ooh, are you gay?", what would you say?
#152 to #151 - hellfiazz (05/21/2013) [-]
I would say "No, not technically anyway.", and if they cared enough about who I'm attracted to, they would ask me further, and I would inform them of my pansexuality. I wouldn't tell someone who doesn't care, because like I said, there's no need.

User avatar #68 to #5 - outerfiend (05/21/2013) [-]

Bisexual = attracted to males and females
Pansexual = attracted to males, females, traps, hermaphrodites, etc.

I identify as bisexual, but I'm probably closer to pan-sexual as I love traps/transsexuals.
User avatar #66 to #23 - happypancake (05/21/2013) [-]
The definition varies, but many bisexuals are also attracted to all genders. The difference (for me, anyway) is that pansexuals may seem gender as a somewhat insignificant detail, much like eye colour.
User avatar #25 to #23 - urfunnyman (05/21/2013) [-]
ok does that include bestiality because this chick in my class is a pan sexual and likes dogs and i mean really likes dogs

If she is under the age of 18, she is just an attention whore and/or all around slut. If she is older than 18, there is a slight chance that she isn't. If the extent of your relationship is "classmate" and you know about it, it's because she wants everyone to know about it, and the only reason to broadcast **** like that is for attention.
User avatar #164 to #44 - urfunnyman (05/22/2013) [-]
well im in college so it she isn't 18 or under but over all i'm not going for her anymore she freaks me the **** out
User avatar #26 to #25 - mrstalin (05/21/2013) [-]
That's a fetish. Not a sexuality. As far as I know, I may be wrong, sexuality refers to preference in humans. Fetishes are sexualization of non-sexual objects like feet, dogs, **** , blood, et cetera. Girl in class ***** chick with a dick? Pansexual. She ***** a horse? Freaky **** .
User avatar #46 to #23 - kittywithclaws ONLINE (05/21/2013) [-]
It's a bit more than that, but it's difficult to explain
Pansexuals dont really care about gender at all. That is, they would just as easily fall in love with a male, female, or otherwise, regardless of their gender. A good term to describe it would be "gender-blind", though it's not exactly correct. We still see that there's differences in gender, we just simply dont care about those differences.

User avatar #28 to #23 - dickbewt (05/21/2013) [-]
You're close, but you're wrong. Pan-sexuality is where you're attracted (As you stated) to most thinks, but it's mainly over personality. Appearance isn't the most important thing. Looks still count though.
User avatar #29 to #28 - mrstalin (05/21/2013) [-]
I thought that was asexual? Being that asexual is still fond of romantic relationships, just sex isn't much of a priority. From what I understand though. It's 1:00 AM here, not expecting to be right on most things.
User avatar #40 to #29 - tinglyturtletaint ONLINE (05/21/2013) [-]
No, the asexuals I've met actively avoid any sex at all. They can fall in love, and they generally do have a preference when it comes to gender, But they have no intention of ever having sex. The two friends I have that have been asexual shun the idea of it, the like the opposite sex in a pure way but are just as repulsed by the idea of sex with both genders as you would be with the gender you don't like. I.e. they feel the same about sex with a man or woman as a straight man would about sex with another man.
