I know how this is going to sound, but I'm genuinely wondering.
I've never tried to pick up a gas cylinder, but 14,2 kg doesn't seem like a big deal to me. Is it that it's so awkward to carry that makes it difficult?

its not really difficult as much as awkward. also some dont have comfortable grips so you have that weight pushing donw on a thin peice of metal

I guess it depends on the shape of the gas container. Here they are well shaped and carry-friendly, you could pick them up with one hand no problem even tho they are 16kg. 16kg is not too much if youthink about it...

Well, it's a bit about physics. I haven't tried it with a gas cylinder, but I have carried boxes weighing 25 kg, and I've carried sacks of cement that weighed 25 kgs. To me, the boxes are weigh heavier, because I can't distribute the weight well. Humans are even more easy to carry, since their limbs help spread the weight. For example, if I carry my little sister, who weighs around 35 kg, it's very easy for me. She knows how to hold me, and that makes it very easy for me. For example, if she sits on my shoulders, she leans back a bit, and her legs hang straight down. Easy balance, easy to hold.

If her friend, who weighs only about 30 kg, wants to sit on my shoulder, it feels heavier than my own sister, because she's not used to such things, and her position is different.

However, when it's a difference between 50 kg and 14.2 kg, I doubt any position can overcome that much of a difference. I believe it's mainly because of the fact that you don't carry girls for as long as you carry the cylinder.

it's hard to carry because those 14kg are only distributed on the area of your hands. its way harder to carry 15 kg with your hands than 50kg in backpack for example.

In retrospect I may have exaggerated, but I still stand by original point. TLR 14 is nothing, hit the gym.
