we did **** like this in marching band when I was in high school.

except, you know, while holding instruments. It's even harder when you have people holding sousaphones and trombones, and you're supposed to keep playing when you mesh.

quite the contrrary, actually. they don't collide.
#30 to #29 - pollepolle (05/19/2013) [-]
neither do any of the stars in a galactic collisions - what you see is merely gravitational interaction

but it looks messy
#135 to #31 - anon (05/19/2013) [-]
What you have to remember is that each star in a galaxy is incredibly far away from the nearest one, if you just imagine that each point in that gif represents an infinitely small point which drags on all the other ones, it makes a bit more sense

I heard that in Japan, you have a whole crew of people on the gas stations to service you. It is simply because a japanese person is more comfortable with taking a low wage job than taking a welfare check. That would make them lose their dignity.

So you may also employ people to allign your tea cups.
User avatar #17 to #6 - anonefgthree (05/19/2013) [-]
There are also a ******* of otaku/neets who really hate strict workplace environment so they just get welfare checks or live of parents

technically yes, it is that way, i took temporal residence in Kroisho, Nasushiobara, in Tochigi ken for a while, and every person i met, no matter how old or different they were, they kept jobs, even if it was a small farm of their own, my host father, around 85, keep getting up in the morning to attend his farm, instead of taking money from his son building company.

Dignity and pride of being useful and efficient to their community and to themselves its kind of a big deal over there, never said it was something bad, still, never seen happier people anywhere else

I hate it when they do that. I know it's not their intention, but anime is so risky that way. Only really famous and popular ones, or really short ones are safe from being cut off early.
User avatar #112 to #92 - leotjynx (05/19/2013) [-]
I mean anime production costs are astronomical, and increase as the quality of art increases.

Thats part of why dbz thrived, it was cheap to produce (the art quality was really low). Anime with really high quality art styles (Kampfer, Boku wa tomodachi ga sukunai, Sekirei) are harder to produce because the production costs for each episode i believe go into several hundred thousand dollars up to a little over $1m (US currency, yen would be what, 100m or so?)

The one I really wish they had continued was Rosario + vampire, that would have been great.
User avatar #114 to #112 - mutzaki (05/19/2013) [-]
I was watching Beelzebub, and I noticed how there were only a few episodes left, even though it was clear they were still building up into the story. Instead of just ending it, they crammed a **** load into the last episode, to try to end it somehow, and it was such an unsatisfying ending.
You really have to carefully research how the anime you're planning on watching ended, without spoiling it for yourself.
#59 to #58 - lolme (05/19/2013) [-]
Yeah, I read that. I really like the anime though so it's ashame really.

Hopefully they'll remake the series when the manga finishes or gets a couple more chapters so that they don't have to fill the series up with fillers.

We also have to line things with a string in the signal coy battalion. When we take every single piece of equipment the troop has, down to the smallest cable and line them. It takes about two weeks to do so...
Kind of a waste of time.
