Fact: Carrots being good for your eyesight was a bloody lie told by the british

it was used to hide the knowledge of advanced radar used by pilots from the germans in WWII

Actually, carrots are a pretty good source of the nutrient beta-carotene, which is an inactive form of Vitamin A that our bodies can convert to Vitamin A when needed. Vitamin A has several functions, such as being an antioxidant and helping our immune system, and - you guessed it - is necessary for vision.

However eating tons of carrots won't grant you super-vision. (Unfortunately.)
