I legitimately don't understand all the hate that falls on Assasins Creed 3. Or why people found it so hard to enjoy it, when it is a genuinly enjoyable game.

Connor is a very nice change of pace for a protagonist. Aside from the assasins duties that he must abide just like Altair and Ezio, he has his own personal agenda. He must protect his land and his people's traditions. He must get revenge on the templars for causing the death on his mother and indirectly is single handedly responsible for the colony's victory during the revolutionary war. Where as all other games just focused around killing templars to save the world, 3 gave us a new purpose, to change history and to seek vengeance.

Yes the game was a tad glitchy, but I personally had no problems with the gameplay and didn't find it clucky at all. In fact I found it very smooth aside from the fact you couldn't manually aim the bow. All in all a solid game and one of my favorite protagonists to date. I mean, the guy was a ******* native american badass killing brits. How often do we get that in a video game!?

Sadly I don't really feel Connor was that bad of a protagonist, and that the story was alright.

And I also don't feel that Black Flag, which isn't even out yet. Is going to be much better than 3 in any way whatsover, and that Edward Kenway may just end up being as 3-dimensional as a stingray that's been run over by a steamroller. I also sincerely hope they plan on ending the franchise too, because seeing one each year will eventually make me really sick.

Those are my two-cents, thumb me down all you wish I'll take it like a man, from a man.

Gonna sound like a butthurt fan here, but two things:

1. He essentially won the war for the Colonists while challenging and killing some big names on both sides. He also created his own small community where he helped people find love, helped people with their businesses and protected everyone from harm.

2. Connor gets too much flack for being sad most of the time. The guy watched his mom die, his people suffer, his dad cause the suffering and constantly has everyone berates him for his ideals. Being one of the few Assassins left and then later being rejected by his own people, I'm surprised he doesn't just totally remain silent throughout the entire game. But no, God forbid there is an assassin who's not a total dick or just plan overconfident.

Ya know what I think???

The beloved AC franchise is becoming more like CoD, with a new one being released every year.
User avatar #88 to #82 - GamerMandrew (05/18/2013) [-]
They've always released on every year, because they have multiple companies working on it. The reason CoD gets released every year is because of two different companies working on two different franchises.

i dont get why everyone takes the piss out of connor, he is ******* brutal, but in the "calm, stone faced muthuhfukkuh" type of way, and baring in mind that he pretty much took down a whole lot of the British influence in america at the time, i would say he is one kick ass assassin. and this is coming from a brit. finally, i would like to admit that of all the assassins creed games, i enjoyed AC3 the most, because of the characters sheer difference to the series. he was shunned from the start, because of his race, were as ezio was a rich boy who stumbled across a family secret, Altair was an assassin since the age of 11 and kenway in black flag is supposed to be a pirate that stumbled across the brotherhood through (and i think is true, i cant remember) either pick-pocketing an assassin and winning the fight afterwards, or finding out that one of his enemies was a templar and decided to join a greater cause to wipe them out....
