Part of the reason that organic food is expensive is that it's expensive to grow. They can't run gigantic operations with millions of acres of land and massive factories - they have to do everything without the aid of genetic modification and pesticides. Organic food is a helluva lot better for you than the processed crap you get at the store, but it's expensive.

just as well, the government subsidizes nonorganic food operations, and taxes organic ones. crazy world we live in huh.
