OC has a few meanings. They depend on the situation they're used in. In this situation, it means "Original Character," not original content/comic.

OC is also like 'OP' can have a few meanings the two that I know of is 'Original Poster' and 'Over Powered' and also like the english languages some words have more then one meaning behind them.
