John Lennon was a vicious egotistical wife beater

"I used to be cruel to my woman
I beat her and kept her apart from the things that she loved
Man, it was mean, but I'm changing my scene, and I'm doing the best that I can."
Pretty sure he got better after his first marriage fell apart

He hit his first wife, not Yoko, he never touched nor cheated on Yoko as you may think. To respond to your other comment, I know he hit his first wife, it's despicable that he did it but he owned up to his mistake and became an advocate for peace. The author of your "source" claims Lennon was a pathological liar, he wasn't. He wasn't seriously addicted to Heroin, he used it and once he realized he was developing a problem, he quit cold turkey (another solo song). And he did meet Yoko at an art show too. And the author says that when he was out of the public eye for a while, he was in a "drug induced haze", not true either. He felt that as long as Paul was producing below average material, he didn't need to record but, when Paul released "Coming Up", Lennon realized that he had something to compete against again and decided to start recording again. Also your "source" loses all credibility when he decides to justify the actions of the scum that killed John. /rant

I hope you realize how bias that source is, thus removing almost all credibility.

Oh please, even if he was, that's pretty goddamn tame by today's standards for people in the music industry.
