A german would never drink a bud, especially not from a can.
User avatar #9 to #4 - niklamacz (05/16/2013) [-]
You know Budweiser is a german name for beer from Budejovice. This type beer originally comes from Germany, or Czech Rep. respectively
User avatar #12 to #9 - thepastryistrue (05/16/2013) [-]
These are two completely different brands. The one you're talking about is Budweiser Budvar from Budějovický Budvar n.p., which is only sold in bottles. The one we see in the picture though is a can of Budweiser from Anheuser-Busch. These are completely different brands. The AB-Budweiser is not even being sold in Germany, except maybe in special american stores.

Well Budweiser Budvar acuatlly is sold in cans (at least here in austria)

but this really is the Anheuser-Bush one.....

I wasnt talking about a BRAND of beer, but about a TYPE of beer called Budweiser
User avatar #14 to #13 - thepastryistrue (05/16/2013) [-]
There's no "type" of beer called Budweiser. It's only a brand name that derives from the town of České Budějovice (which is in the Czech Rep.). Both Bud and Budweiser are bottom-fermented beers. But beside that they don't really have anything in common.

Budweiser is only ever nice from a bottle.
User avatar #51 to #23 - ninjasquirle (05/16/2013) [-]
eh. I used to like Bud because my family was a Budweiser family (Bar-b-que, holidays, whenever.) However when I came to college I slowly got into craft beer, now my college town has a local brewery that not only makes decent beer but their public house has some of the best food in the county, they also serve you patron in shot glasses with a bottle at your table for your convince in getting ****** up. Basically small breweries are fun local watering holes that usually have good food, beer made in house so its fresh as can be, and also a great place to meet women is the tasting room where different varieties of beer can be tried cheaply. Also beer from a local brewery is also the cheapest possible place to get it, since its direct from manufacturer.

User avatar #57 to #56 - ninjasquirle (05/19/2013) [-]
Actually I think American craft brewing is supposed to be picking up in Europe, I read an article recently saying that there are new British breweries opening up that are trying to break away from traditional beers. Personally nothing like a good coffee beer.

I don't know why people still drink crappy beer when the U.S. has a great selection of craft beers that taste amazing. My personal home state favorite is Heavy Seas Peg Leg which is a light Imperial stout at 8.0% that is smooth enough to chugg like water but yet strong and flavorful enough to make you want to savor it.
