I was hoping there would be a comment about that "car", thank god for you sir. I live in Idaho where there are so many V6 mustangs. My friend once asked me "why do only performance cars look cool? couldn't they just make a ****** car look cool?" so i pointed at a mustang as it drove by. honestly i dont think they look as cool, except maybe the older fastbacks, those are pretty sexy.

I think the V6 Mustang is....the reject antisocial car of the parking lot. Like why would you not get the V8?

As to does it look cool; the base V6 no and even the GT is so-so. But I think the Boss 302 looks cool, as does the GT500. Im more of a chevy guy, so if I had to pick a sports car for the cost of a V6 Mustang I'd try and find myself a C5 z06 corvette.

Youre telling me you dont think this looks cool?

That's a real car right there, Jimmy. I hate all these V6 Mustangs around where I live, funny thing is, it's mainly a bunch of idiots, they pull up next to me all the time revving their engines. It makes me laugh. I've raced very few of them because I find it pointless, but I've destroyed them everytime I have.
Pic related: My car.

I wanted a GSx as my first car but couldnt find any. You must have mods on it if you can beat even the V6 Mustangs.

(Sorry for the picture, couldnt resist)
User avatar #85 to #84 - tehmasterchef (05/17/2013) [-]
Nope, it's completely stock.
User avatar #87 to #85 - swimmingprodigy (05/17/2013) [-]
and you beat V6 Stangs?
That's sad....for the mustang I mean.
User avatar #88 to #87 - tehmasterchef (05/17/2013) [-]
Well my car's putting out about 220hp stock, plus I drive stick.
V6 Mustang's are some of the most underpowered 'performance' cars you can find, haha/

I know, the 2nd gen Mustangs are hilariously slow. They made like 160 HP.
Foxbodys can be built to be ridiculously fast for really cheap though. But we're talking about stock.

My car puts out about 270HP, but it's auto with a CVT and FWD. Still gets to 60 in low 6's. Surprisingly quick for an unassuming sedan (talking about 2008 nissan altima 3.5L). It's almost stock except for intake and Nismo exhaust so that probably adds maybe 5 more. I wish I bought a car with manual, but living in New York City driving stick is a real pain in the ass. But my next car will be manual.
User avatar #90 to #89 - tehmasterchef (05/17/2013) [-]
Yeah, those Foxbody's can be ******* monsters.
Sounds like a nice car, man. I've always liked the Altima, haha. I don't really know what I should spring for on my car. Thinking of some coilovers, at the moment.

that sounds like best option.

I really wish I had gotten interested in cars BEFORE I bought mine. Yes it is a 2008 model and only has 40k miles so it will run forever especially considering how often I drive it (probably 3k miles a year), but I spent 12.5k on it. Do you have any idea what I couldve gotten for 12.5k? Ugh...I have so many dream cars that are actually attainable. I'd love an LS1 Miata, or an E46 M3 in Laguna Seca Blue....One of my other dream cars is to buy an old station wagon, restore it (not even so that it's fully beautiful, I could go for the rat rod look) and drop a big block in there with a T56 Magnum transmission; something like this
User avatar #92 to #91 - tehmasterchef (05/17/2013) [-]
Yeah, I wanted an E46 3-Series at one time. I almost got a silver M3 Sedan, but the guy sold it before I could look at it.
Eventually, I found my 3000. It was only $4800.
It came with the aftermarket rims, it also has aftermarket heated seats, touch screen Radio, GPS system, DVD player, and Bluetooth connectivity. It also had two 10 inch subs in the back. All in all, it was a great deal.

Is that a VR-4?
User avatar #86 to #41 - tehmasterchef (05/17/2013) [-]
Nope, it's an SL. I was actually looking at buying my friend's '92 VR-4, though.

I'm not a Mustang guy, but he could have at least sprung for a GT...
User avatar #17 to #16 - swimmingprodigy (05/16/2013) [-]
exactly my point. At least the V8 i mean come on man.

User avatar #11 to #10 - swimmingprodigy (05/16/2013) [-]
he should sell it. What a terrible car to own

Could be worse...could be a chevy.

I beg to differ, sir. C5 z06 Corvette is essentially the best car you can by for 30k. Except maybe an NSX. But this is debatable.
