I don't think it's real. Having a panic attack seems a little extreme.

Just so you folks know, that qualifies as psychological abuse and is a criminal offense. Even if he did tell her the next day, the emotional and psychological trauma she experienced would probably leave her with PTSD. That's serious ****.

Not trying to be a downer, and I do think this is clever, just saying it's ****** up too.

People like you are the reason the whole world has turned into pussies. Every little thing that is meant to be a joke is turned into abuse ect. Common sense is what you people need to differentiate between a joke and actual abuse.

sorry this bothers me a little we dont need more common sense we need less. more common sense the less IQ. If long division was common sense to someone they may have trouble learning other things cause they don't truly understand the concept.
Common sense is something which you think you know to be true but that may not actually be true. It is a way of reasoning based on immediate knowledge gathered about the world,

PTSD help program: "Tell us your name and why you're here."

"My name is Soop, and I'm here because my boyfriend teleported and I haven't been able to figure out why, or how. My life just hasn't been the same since."

A single mile isn't that much of a distance to cover, so to me it'd seem logical to think that maybe it was an elaborate prank. The last thing I would do in this situation is panic and throw up.

Panic attack could have been caused by an underlying problem. Say she has an anxiety disorder, maybe she had a stressful day and had a panic attack over it. There is no proof to say that she had a panic attack and vomited due to the prank. The guy probably just thought the panic attack was linked to his actions without any valid proof.
"Hey anon, gf freaked out and vomited"
"Oh must have been down to me!"
Pretty much his assumption.

If you think this will leave you with ptsd then you are stupid. Spending 5 years having to look behind your back every few minutes because one of the people (prisoners) you are supposed to be helping is gonna try to kill you. THAT causes PTSD. Having a nice day with 5 of your friends one second and then having them all blow up on top of you while losing your leg. THAT causes PTSD. Thats known as a prank and is funny. You need to kill yourself.

Perhaps you should educate yourself instead of spouting nonsense. It is impossible for this to cause PTSD as per the definitions of PTSD in DSM-IV and ICD-10 (a perceived life-threatening situation must have occurred - which, even when stretching your imagination to the fullest did not happen).

The DSM V refutes your claim adequately. I suggest you refer to the specific revision that I'm referring to here: You need to login to view this link

Anyways, it's called Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Why don't you go ahead and deconstruct that terminology for yourself?

1) Did you even read your own link? It did not say what you think.
2) Why did you rely on the interpretation given to you by a blogger who describes herself as: "Elizabeth is a writer, artist, Reiki III and "nature girl" who believes in the power of love and magic" i.e. without any medical experience or background instead of going to the source - the DSM-V?
3) Definition of PTSD taken straight from DSM-V: "The diagnostic criteria for the manual’s next edition identify the trigger to PTSD as exposure to actual or threatened death, serious injury or sexual violation." (link: www.psychiatry.org/practice/dsm/dsm5)

Why don't YOU go ahead and deconstruct that terminology for yourself?

When you have done that, perhaps you would be so kind as to stop equating the "trauma" experienced by a silly prank to that of soldiers, rape victims, victims of terrorism et.c.

Please remember you are welcome to come back and man up to your error at any point, no judgment passed and no insult intended. I just so happen to be an M.D. who have done a rotation at a psychiatric ward and thus worked rather close with vets from Iraq and Afghanistan, so I could not let it slide.

but that's so ********, it's like having sex with a willing drunk girl then getting arrested for rape the next day, they reacted badly so you get in trouble? granted the situations aren't exactly the same but both are dumb. if it was a common occurrence where he tried to make her feel crazy then i could see our problem with it but nobody should get in trouble if this was a one tome thing.

dude stop misinforming everyone and leave.
She could not have got PTSD from a stupid prank like that, PTSD is from experiencing something traumatic. 1 Mile is nothing and he had a 30 second head start i would have been disappointed if he didn't make it there first. My brain would never come to the conclusion of teleportation or alien doubles or some crazy **** and neither would anyone else. so please just stop telling everyone false information i don't like stupid people.

Everyone experiences trauma differently. Obviously she was traumatised enough to have a panic attack, is it impossible that it might scar her afterwards? Particularly as it was never explained, she might continue to think she's crazy or question reality or something.

I read them before, but upon reading them again I'm inclined to agree with you. The guy who did this had no intention of giving her a panic attack and only did it the once, I assume he only meant to confuse her.
Whether or not she felt psychologically abused is another thing, but that doesn't mean he was psychologically abusing her. (Wait, does that make any sense?)

Many colleges are like that. My sister is a graduate of MSU and that campus is literally all of East Lancing, its huge. I, on the other hand, go to a tiny little college in Erie where you can walk from one end to the other in eight minutes. There is a huge range in college campus sizes.

At my university, our campus spans a good couple of miles by having buildings in different parts of the city.
Main campus is in the middle of the city with the Arts campus a little down the road, the medical type campus (never been to it myself - I think it might be for science classes in a whole, not just medical) near the hospital and the Media Center that I go to that's about a mile away from the others I mentioned; across the bridge.
There are a bunch of others in different places across the city, but I don't know where or for what purpose because I have little reason to know, but that's how big it can get.
