One unhealthy meal won't make you fat and one healthy meal won't make you lean
User avatar #44 to #15 - deathstare (05/14/2013) [-]
Well, I had a hearty meal in bed: your mom, and she made me some lean meat afterwards. What have you got to say about that?
User avatar #58 to #44 - thatguyblaze (05/14/2013) [-]
What the **** did you just ******* say about me, you little bitch. I’ll have you know my name is John, and I woke up this morning 5:30 sharp to the smell of wet pussy. I was getting a blowjob from two bitches ( **** was SO Cash), one was trying to fit my humongous 3 pound balls in her mouth while the other was choking halfway on my 18 and 3\8 inch dick. She started to squirt hard, she was convulsing and having 6 orgasms at the same time. I gave it to them and they were on the floor squirting like ************* fountains. Must have come about a quart of sperm and compressed air. Imagine your best orgasm, then multiply it by 35. I had to go to base camp so I front-flipped from my 14th floor barracks into my valet parked 2012 Ferrari (I got connexions). Pushed my **** to about 4 hundo (mph, mind you) and I was at base camp in no time. When I entered, I became a top sniper and was granted access to the entire arsenal of the USMC. I learned how to kill someone in over 700 different ways and was assigned to be the leader of a squad that will kill 300 terrorists using gorilla warfare tactics. Also did 6000 push-ups, 8000 sit-ups and bench-pressed 30 plates in 16 minutes. After basic training, I met a network of secret spies who will help me trace your IP address, while eating gold plated sushi and 15,000 $ champagne. My unit got the rest of the day off and I became captain of our base’s football team and starter of the basketball team. I got straight A’s on the military entrance exams and received more awards. Meanwhile, you were jacking off to pictures on Facebook and naked drawn Japanese people. Went back in the Lambo to my barracks and now I am getting ready to go to sleep. I am going to graduate at the top of my class in the Navy Seals tomorrow and I want to look pretty much perfect for it. Don’t be a stranger and remember, I did more in one day than you will your entire life.

To be fair, having an off day in a diet every 1 or 2 weeks is advised by some as there's a strong belief that it boosts metabolism, which normally becomes very slow as you reach lower weights.
User avatar #24 to #23 - abitur (05/14/2013) [-]
having an "off day" doesnt mean that you must eat whatever the **** you want. It means that you should eat above your caloric maintenance for once.
User avatar #26 to #23 - sheperdofthestars (05/14/2013) [-]
It actually works wonders. Sometimes what gets me through a week of salads and small portions is that bowl of ice cream or cheeseburger I know I'm getting on Saturday.

And small portions aren't so bad now that I've been doing it a while. I don't even want to eat as much as I used to anymore.
#37 to #26 - cockineveryorifice (05/14/2013) [-]
Exactly, the physical benefits while being decent are not massive, It's more of a psychological boost. It worked for me too when the weight loss was going painfully slow for a time.
User avatar #3 - justafungi (05/14/2013) [-]
A diet won't be ruined by one day, as binge eating won't be rewarded by one day of dieting.

(BTW, while we are on the subject, does anyone have any tips to gain some healthy weight?)
User avatar #54 to #53 - JimmyJongo (05/14/2013) [-]
Lots of protein + casual exercise.
User avatar #56 to #53 - xzynth (05/14/2013) [-]
eat more especially protein rich foods + lift a fullbody routine 3 times a week (can link you one good) and you will build some good muscle and if you want to just pack on mass, just eat more (even junkfood is OK then)

You pigs who sit here and talk derogatory words to women. **** YOU! Women are strong and we have been discriminated against for so many years. You men are nothing but dirty pigs who receive higher pay than us women. No girl will ever get in your bed or be together with you when your nothing but pigs and make rape joke and kitchen jokes that is insulting. I hope there will come a time where either women is higher class than men or women are equal to men. Respect women please! - Dutch feminist.

Well, either you want to gain weight and become strong or you don't. it's your choice man. I'm not forcing you or anything.

In my case, it worked very well. I gained 30kg and became strong as **** (pic related as proof that i dont talk **** ). Anyone can gain weight/become stronger.

If you're a bodybuilder, you gain muscle which speeds up your metabolism that much further (you burn an extra 30 calories a day for each pound of muscle you gain). As a result, the amount of fat you burn from working out plus the extra amount you burn from that boosted metabolism at rest allows you to have a treats day once a week.
User avatar #14 to #12 - thatguyblaze (05/14/2013) [-]
especially if your an ectomorph, but then again if you're an ectomorph you pretty much have to be constantly eating food with lots of calories.
User avatar #17 to #12 - toughactintinactin (05/14/2013) [-]
Extra 50 calories* I have a cheat meal on Saturday, one high calorie meal a week boosts fat loss by about %9 for the following 24 hours.
#19 to #17 - kez (05/14/2013) [-]
The high calorie meal a day only works when you are cutting your calories by a lot.

The whole idea behind it is you are eating way less calories than you need. So your body is losing fat, but your body gets used to your new low calories diet so becomes more efficient with the calories it gets so you will begin to lose weight slower as it is the same as if you are eating an extra few hundred calories a day.

But if you have that high calorie meal once a day to trick your body into thinking it doesnt need to become super efficient so you can keep the gains of the lower calorie diet.

However this only works when you are eating like 1200 or less calories a day.

If you work out, do lots of cardio, and have a proper diet losing a pound in one week is rather easy. I've 23 lbs in 5 weeks before while cutting.
User avatar #22 to #5 - studbeefpile (05/14/2013) [-]
Hahaha, silly ignoramus. I lost 18lbs in 2 & 1/2 weeks.

Thats not healthy at all...
User avatar #36 to #27 - studbeefpile (05/14/2013) [-]
It's perfectly healthy, I feel great. I'm actually still continuing to lose, but I did take a short break for the hell of it.

Most of the time you hear about people losing 2lbs a week, or something like that, it's because they're using a ****** diet plan, or they're cheating on their diet every other day. If you have a decent diet, and you're pretty strict about it, you can lose lots of weight pretty quickly. Last year I lost 50lbs over the course of about 3 and 1/2 months, and I didn't feel bad from it or anything.

my friend lost 50 pounds in less than a month. He's 6 foot 5 and weighs 135.
User avatar #30 to #28 - studbeefpile (05/14/2013) [-]
6-5 and he weighs 135? That is legitimately unhealthy.
User avatar #31 to #30 - meganinja ONLINE (05/14/2013) [-]
yeah it is. I'm 6 feet and weigh 135, but he's a good 5 inches on me. I'm considered borderline underweight for my height, so I know he can't be healthy.
User avatar #33 to #31 - studbeefpile (05/14/2013) [-]
Yeah, I recommend eating....more.

Believe it or not, there is such a thing as a healthy amount of body fat, around 12%-15% is a pretty healthy level, although some athletes and body-builders have lower percentages during their 'on' season.
User avatar #35 to #33 - meganinja ONLINE (05/14/2013) [-]
I think mine's around 8%, so it's not bad. I have a really high metabolism so it doesn't matter how much I eat, I don't gain weight (provided I stop eating when i'm full). I weighed 150 back in Feburary but I got mono and lost 15 pounds, and haven't been able to put it back on.
User avatar #38 to #35 - studbeefpile (05/14/2013) [-]
It's not as much about how much you eat, as it is what you eat. If your diet consists of lots of bread, and 'hollow' valueless foods like that, then you're not going to gain weight. On the other side of the spectrum, if you eat lots of meat--protein and fat dense foods, and you start lifting weights, you shouldn't have too much of a problem gaining weight.
User avatar #6 to #5 - coolcalx (05/14/2013) [-]
you can lose that much in a single night just from water weight.

1 pound of fat is equal to approximately 3,500 calories. Assuming you burn 2,000 calories a day. If you ear only 1,500 calories a day worth of healthy food with appropriate exercise, it is entirely possible.
