can someone take the original of this and caption it with "come at me bro"?
User avatar #30 - rdangerdash (05/12/2013) [-]
I assumed when I read the first panel that it was Butters talking and then got really confused in the second panel when that person was actually Butters. Also I read it in Butters voice which only added to the confusion.

I may get thumbed down for this, but I like new SP more than old SP. the new episodes are satirical parodies of current events and laugh way more than the older episodes which is just inside joke after inside joke.
User avatar #45 to #44 - cycloneclone (05/12/2013) [-]
Yeah the new episodes are great they have pretty good parodies like you said and messages given that some people miss. I feel with the old episodes most of the jokes and **** like did was just because they could not necessarily because it was funny, but not to say the old episodes weren't funny.

Many of the old episodes are satirical of events that were current at the time, I never realized it until I listened to the commentaries. I like the new ones as well, but my favorite episodes probably lie within season 5-12 :)

I believe it's called "Super best friends". Good episode, one of my favs.

You won't find it on netflix, or on TV(no reruns of it), because it shows Muhammad as a crime fighting character. Search Google, you'll find it.

...they actually banned an episode of Southpark?
User avatar #65 to #19 - huntergriff ONLINE (05/12/2013) [-]
...there's 3 banned episodes...this one, 200, and 201.
User avatar #21 to #19 - durkadurka ONLINE (05/12/2013) [-]
No, not exactly. The episode had been around for a long time before it started disappearing from places. South Park tried to do another Muhammad-related episode a season or two ago, but Muhammad ended up getting censored. When people pointed out that the earlier episode showed Muhammad, it got the ax too.
User avatar #25 to #21 - psykojet (05/12/2013) [-]
Isn't that the anti-Family Guy episode?
User avatar #126 to #25 - durkadurka ONLINE (05/12/2013) [-]
No, it was episodes 200 and 201. The censorship in the family guy episode was part of the joke.

Really...? So all the other **** they pull on that show is fine but they can't show a cartoon drawing of a ****** who isn't even alive to be offended by it? Some people need to get over themselves...
User avatar #72 to #71 - huntergriff ONLINE (05/12/2013) [-]
they and comedy central were basically getting death threats from a bunch of butthurt muslims.

But pulling the episode is letting them win, isn't it? Radical Muslims have the mindset of a 3 year-old, they will whine, complain, threaten and generally act like a little brat until someone gives them what they want. And like a 3 year-old they won't be satisfied once they'll continue whining and whining as long as they are getting what they want. The only problem is these man-children have weapons and are bat **** ******* insane. Sorry for the rant i just hate censoring in the name of being "PC", it'll be the death of free speech.
User avatar #110 to #79 - thegamerslife (05/12/2013) [-]
They put the creator actual addresses and family member names and **** on a well known "terrorist" website( basically their own forum) and said, "we don't advocate any violence but if the episode is aired and something happens to them, then it is our justice" or something like that. the more you know!!

Yah like i said in #84 i really don't blame them for pulling the episode, it's just ******** that this is what it's come too.
User avatar #113 to #112 - thegamerslife (05/12/2013) [-]
yes, I don't think caving was a good move at all. just breeds new paths for more pulled episodes.
User avatar #118 to #113 - huntergriff ONLINE (05/12/2013) [-]
indeed, it's basically the plotline to cartoon wars 1 and 2. the family guy thing...
User avatar #81 to #79 - huntergriff ONLINE (05/12/2013) [-]
they are letting them win...hell, jon stewart even slammed the revolution muslim people (the people who actually made the threats) on his show just because they forced two episodes (at the time it was episodes 200 and 201) of south park to be banned or else they'll bomb the crap out of comedy central HQ. See...for the entertainment industry, they figure it's best to not **** with a bunch of pissed off muslims, which yes, it defeats the purpose of the first amendment. if you can give me a minute, i'll find the links regarding this.
User avatar #84 to #81 - toughactintinactin (05/12/2013) [-]
I can't honestly blame CC or SP for pulling the episodes. It was the choice between dropping two episodes and people potentially being killed, not really much of a choice at all. I blame the assholes who want to turn the rest of the world into a lame-ass theocracy. What's it going to take for these morons to realize that humans have thousands of different ways of thinking and living and what you hold dear someone else probably holds in contempt.

"The episode was written by series co-creator Trey Parker and is rated TV-MA in the United States. It depicts several religious figures, including Muhammad, whose appearance at the time of the original airing caused little to no controversy. Following Islamists' death threats regarding Muhammad's portrayal in "201", as of November 13, 2011 neither the South Park Studios website nor Netflix stream "Super Best Friends", and the episode cannot be downloaded on iTunes. The episode has been replaced on the website with a notice: "We apologize that South Park Studios cannot stream this episode." The episode was also featured in syndication, but was permanently removed after the threats."
