Isn't this the show where Robin gets turned into Joker's minion permanently or something like that? I don't know how that ended up but I remember it being one of the more ****** up moments of my childhood.

if i remember correctly that was a Batman Beyond movie with some exposition flashbacks that show the joker and harley brainwashing robin into thinking he was their son or something like that

batman is believed to be killed so the jocker holds a funeral for him while locking the killer in the coffin and pushes him into the acid as you see.
the episode is "the man who killed batman"

I think, but I am too lazy to actually check it up, that Superman has fought Batman on more that one occasion and Batman has won more than once, e.g by overloading Gotham's power grid to stun Superman - Batman has contingency plans for fighting most heroes and villains.
However! In an impromptu fight where Superman is not a non-fatality hippie and what-not he would fry Batman in a sec, snap him in half or whatever.

User avatar #382 to #26 - jinjo (05/12/2013) [-]
Most times they've fought Batman has attacked Superman, without it really being a fight. As in, Supes had no idea he was in a fight.

Also in the comic world 'PIS' or plot induced stupidity is when Superman can tank the force of 700 earths crashing into his face like nothing happened and then having Gotham's power grid stun him.
#391 to #26 - anon (05/12/2013) [-]
its because of the rule that batman can never lose in his own comic. all his wins are plot induced stupidity.

User avatar #229 to #194 - guymandude (05/12/2013) [-]
Although I think if Captain Marvel (or Shazam, whichever you prefer) wouldn't have died at Superman's hand so easy if he had fully understood the situation and realized that Superman was ready to use deadly force. According to a lot of comics and other junk, Captain Marvel is supposed to be one of the very few heroes or villians in the DC universe that could actually hold his own against Superman in normal conditions.
User avatar #241 to #229 - zombiebacon (05/12/2013) [-]
Captain Marvel can't just hold his own against Superman. He's one of the only people that can defeat Superman without Kryptonite. His only real weakness is that he's just a kid. In Injustice, he still believes that Superman was doing the right thing, He thought that Superman was always kind before so he didn't notice how he changed. Captain Marvel didn't think Superman would kill someone until it was too late, but when he finally realized the truth Superman got the jump on him.
User avatar #392 to #241 - Fgner (05/12/2013) [-]
I just watched that scene and read up on Marvel. Looks to me more like they needed to kill off Marvel quickly because he could kill Superman so easily. He's pretty much invincible, stronger than Superman, has God damned MAGIC.

Captain Marvel is just as strong as Superman but because he is magic (and superman is weak to magic) He is stronger.

I think he keeps it in a bunker in the batcave. Even in Lego Batman 2 DC universe Batman says to have a bunker of kryptonite there in case superman ever decides to be a bad guy.

Batman is the superhero that no other hero in the DC universe could actually kill because he has a plan for every hero turning evil. The irony is that since he has a plan for every superhero, if Batman ever turned evil, no superhero would be able to stop him.

ASIANS CAN ACTUALLY READ MINDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They can hear, and see what you're visually thinking. This is the absolute complete truth!!!!!

The reason a lot of Asians have completely expressionless faces is so they don't accidentally show facial expressions when people think things they don't like, find funny, astonishing, etc, and Asians segregate so their not nearly as susceptible to that happening.
Asians also segregate, and are untalkative to avoid accidentally saying things that are similar to what people are thinking and going to say.

Try thinking, and visually picturing things that are as wild as you can when you are around Asians, and look for Asians who give people dirty/particular looks for what appears to be for completely no reason.

PLEASE SPREAD THE MESSAGE!!!!! THE WORLD NEEDS TO KNOW THIS!!!!!

Surely Superman would be weak already due to being in close proximity to Kryptonite?
#213 to #1 - foreveraloneninja (05/12/2013) [-]
There was once an incident where either batman or superman were glowing with kryptonite (can't remember which one) and superman owned batman. I love batman and all but from a realistic standpoint batman hasn't won against superman that many times
User avatar #8 to #1 - VincentKing ONLINE (05/11/2013) [-]
superman has to be in a direct line to kryptonite.

Because my minds stupid and wont give me the proper words, let me explain it. If you put a small piece of kryptonite in front of Superman, he will lose his powers. However, put a bowl over it, and it wont affect him. The ray's from the kryptonite can no longer reach him.

Now if Superman were to hide underground, the kryptonite could no longer reach him from the sun, therefore making him win.
#570 to #8 - anon (07/28/2013) [-]
ummm, no. dynamo, the robot that superman fights regularly has a piecw of kryptonite inside him, and that weakens him.
#250 to #8 - anon (05/12/2013) [-]
Yeah, but no. Superman kinda gets his powers from our sun's rays. Also, I don't think you understand kryptonite. It won't make him lose his powers, it just begins to weaken him, until the point where he dies.
User avatar #355 to #250 - VincentKing ONLINE (05/12/2013) [-]
he loses all energy to use his powers. The suns yellow rays help him regain his powers, however they aren't the source of them
#416 to #355 - anon (05/12/2013) [-]
No, he GETS HIS POWERS from the suns rays. They don't just restore his power. On Krypton, he would not have had his powers, because there was no yellow sun.
User avatar #449 to #416 - VincentKing ONLINE (05/12/2013) [-]
How about we compromise here. We are both right.

His powers aren't from the Earths Yellow Sun, however his body is like a solar battery, and charges through sunlight. A yellow sun, similar to Earths sun, will charge him, and will allow him to use his powers. Once he is away from the sun, it is much like a battery, and he has a certain amount of time that he can use powers for until he runs fry, however this time varies, depending on how much of his powers he uses. Once his 'battery' is used up, or he is in contact with a red sun's rays (long enough to fill his 'battery' with its rays) he will no longer have his powers anymore, as a red sun will drain a kryptonians powers, and make them like a mere human, with a few race differences.

While yes, I was wrong before, it states only lead can block kryptonite, Superman has to be within close contact with it. I assumed anything could block it based on DCU Online, in which kryptonite was placed within Wonder Womans mouth, which never affected Superman until her mouth opened, allowing him to get in contact with it. Kryptonite can kill Superman, however not in the way the comic above shows.

As an extra, there is also a series in which Superman came into contact with a blue sun, giving him more strength, and the ability to temporarily give another being powers similar to his own.
User avatar #446 to #416 - VincentKing ONLINE (05/12/2013) [-]
they didn't have powers because their red sun drained away their powers
User avatar #50 to #8 - hirollin (05/11/2013) [-]
Thought it had to be lead, only lead can stop the rays from reaching Superman. That is what the 80's superman movies implied then. He can ex ray everything except lead, so the kryptonite would affect him through anything thats not lead.

unless that bowl is made out of lead, it's not going to contain the radiation of the rock. if superman is in close proximity to kryptonite, he'll be affected. doesn't matter where it's hidden (unless it's in a box made out of lead as i said). the comic however didn't really take that piece of information into consideration

*Ahem* making superman a one millionth of his actual strength and power for the sake of plot.

Also making Superman the 'bad guy' because DC has used the **** out of the Joker so much that no one cares about him and Batman's rogues gallery pretty much no one gives a **** about so to keep Batman cool they made him beat up Superman.
User avatar #471 to #385 - germed (05/12/2013) [-]
Superman is made to be the bad guy in DKR simply because Frank Miller hates him, he has always portrayed Superman to be the bad guy/weak.
User avatar #472 to #471 - jinjo (05/12/2013) [-]
Though that is also a factor, I still think that it's more 'Batman is awesome!' than anything else.

The Joker is his big bad guy that the general public knows and loves, but he's been over used in all batman lore. Mr. Freeze, Scarecrow, Poison Ivy, Bane a good amount of people don't even know who they are, but they all know who Superman is. So they used him, the biggest most powerful character.

It's not like Batman purposely made the fight last longer just so Superman would get his message.
