I think they get older with each generation. The ones in BW and BW2 look like teenagers.
User avatar #104 to #44 - markertemp (05/12/2013) [-]
No, they're al still around 10. They're just starting to look older. This is, of course, discounting Wes from Colosseum, as he was 17.
User avatar #120 to #104 - deathstare (05/12/2013) [-]
Wes got his Umbreon and Espeon as Eevee's when he was ten. After a while we began working for the bad guys, and Pokemon Colosseum joins him when he is 17 and putting his rebellion into action.
User avatar #121 to #120 - markertemp (05/12/2013) [-]
That's one way to look at it.

On a side note, Wes taught us the best way to quit your job ever. Blow up their HQ and speed away on a motorcycle.

And by that single post the tale of Noah's ark was proven wrong.
#225 to #24 - anon (05/12/2013) [-]
The story might not be true but ocean levels have been much higher in the distant past
#92 to #24 - anon (05/12/2013) [-]
The story involves God, who is capable of altering reality because he created it. So he could of gotten the water from anywhere, but some theorize that certain verses indicate a layer of water floating above the Earth before the flood, which could have different ramifications for the amount of rays from the sun and humidity, and if God brought down said layer of water, the climate would change, possibly explaining the disappearance of the dinosaurs. Bam, religion'd!
User avatar #161 to #92 - tomorrowsnightmare (05/12/2013) [-]
Layer of water?
User avatar #191 to #161 - jasoncreed (05/12/2013) [-]
Religion'd? That explanation was stupid as potato.
#277 to #191 - anon (05/12/2013) [-]
Think of it like this:
Before Noah the earth was very humid, which allowed dinosaurs and giant insects to exist. All of the water came from the humid air condensing. This explains why there are deserts today. Also, melting of the ice caps played a role.
User avatar #35 to #33 - daniboyi (05/11/2013) [-]
Maybe the ship existed, but the rain for 40 days and the flood?
#185 to #35 - anon (05/12/2013) [-]
Fossils and science-based evidence actually shows that there was some sort of wide scale flood in the past. One common theory is that reserves of water under land masses suddenly erupted and large pools of water were forced out which took a long to to dissipate over the land. Unfortunately I am anon and will not ever see your response so I hope this helps you more than hurts you in your thought process.
User avatar #216 to #185 - marinepenguin (05/12/2013) [-]
I always assumed it was from the ice caps melting after the last ice age. The sea levels rose several hundred feet in a few centuries.
User avatar #245 to #216 - vigilum ONLINE (05/12/2013) [-]
I feel pretty sure that everything they have are hypotheses.
The melting of ice caps is one of those, and there's a few more.
User avatar #280 to #245 - marinepenguin (05/12/2013) [-]
I know there are several, but that's the one I've always found to be the most valid in my opinion.
User avatar #188 to #24 - zukowashere (05/12/2013) [-]
Doesn't it mention the fountains of the deep opening up? That's where the water came from, that split apart Pangaea while also changing earth's climate enough to make life for large reptiles difficult, thus the dinosaurs became extinct.

At least that's how I try to infuse religion with science.

it's basically the same thing, but for water pokemon the water goes in the Pokemon's skin and the pokemon stores the water till battle
so the water they have is stored for a long time
EX: weak water types store little water so they could only use bubble beam for the first few levels of life.unless they live in water then they know bad-ass water moves

Eh it'd still speed up the water cycle I think... Could cause mass flooding, considering how powerful Kyogre's supposed to be. Groudon could still do it easier by melting the ice caps though.
#32 - derpmageddon (05/11/2013) [-]
When you think about it, Groudon is one helluva beast compared to Kyogre. Kyogre moves water around, while Groudon makes the rays from the sun stronger. Let me rephrase that, HE CAN CONTROL A BLOODY STAR! Sure, Kyogre can do damage with floods and **** , but Groudon can increase the output of a gigantic fusion reactor far out in space, upon which life on earth is dependent, by simply flaunting his presence!
#103 to #32 - sposadox (05/12/2013) [-]

User avatar #132 to #32 - spysappinmysasha (05/12/2013) [-]
While I dont disagree, I would also say that Rayquaza has the power to kill all pokemon instantaneously.

Think about it. Rayquaza rules the sky and controls it. What if he just decided to remove the atmosphere? like completely? Not only would everything suffocate, but the pure radiation from the sun would also destroy everything living.

Rayquaza can kill a bitch if he gotta.
#181 to #132 - hatsune (05/12/2013) [-]
Rayquaza doesn't control the sky. All it does is emit ozone when resting.
#135 to #32 - anon (05/12/2013) [-]
Yeah and Kyky can just huh, basically **** **** up with tidal waves. Look at the amout of water there is BOOM. Well.. Splash...
User avatar #198 to #32 - bagguhsleep (05/12/2013) [-]
I don't think he controls the sun itself, but rather the sky. What he (and by extension, any pokemon with sunny day) might do is actually just distort the ozone layer to intensify the sun's effects. Kyogre probably just does something with the water molecules in the sky to generate rain clouds or some **** .

#242 to #32 - anon (05/12/2013) [-]
Actually that's not true, Groudon could make the sun's rays stronger by changing the atmosphere. Actually enhancing the wavelength or various properties of the sun would be something completely different. And besides, all Groudon does is make SUNNY DAY, he might just be getting rid of interference in the atmosphere.
User avatar #180 to #32 - hatsune (05/12/2013) [-]
And now think of it this way.
You're wrong.
#95 to #32 - UnoSkullmanx (05/12/2013) [-]
