This show was ******* legendary. I just wonder what side of the family the autism comes from?

What? It's pretty ******* clear that Reese, Dewy and Malcolm all suffer from different kinds of autism.

tl;dr Its Hal

Theres the episode where Dewey has his friend from the special class over and to keep him under control Hal gives him an encyclopedia to colour in the dots in everyword, and then Dewey asks just how crazy he is and Hals says "This isnt my first set of encylopedias" or something like that, last time i saw it was about 2 years ago...

Hrr. Well that could technically just relate to Hal's massive anxiety problems and general lack of self-esteem and courage.

However, I'd agree that those factors alone hint more to him having something squiffy up top than Lois' anger-management issues.

I'll point out that a lot of what I see about autism on this site is just misconceptions and misunderstandings and a lot more of it is clearly just attention-whoring because "It's hard to be autistic!"

I'm severely to one side of the spectrum and amongst other things psychology comes naturally to me. But the bitching you hear on this site sometimes and the attention-whores who just want it as an excuse to be a special snowflake is sickening,

I'd suggest you take everything you hear about autism on this website with a pinch of salt because it's the internet and a lot of the people here don't know what they're talking about (and often don't care about checking their facts either.)

Oh, don't worry. I know 90% of it is total ****. I just don't know where some of these people get off on being experts in the field since they have so-called self-diagnosed aspergers. It's literally just as bad as those girls who think they're "so random" (I'm anti-social and love video games, I'm so aspergery!). These people take one ******* Psych 101 class and have the whole world figured out and analyzed up the ass.

Why on Earth would anyone feel that being autistic or having aspergers is trendy. My aspergers was very severe when I was younger so I had an extremely difficult time fitting in at school, making friends, the amount of **** and stigmatisation I've received throughout the years. Now as a young adult, I have a lot of good genuine friends who don't consider me as some sort of 'follower' or social parasite and I have been able to make out with girls, those who did not acknowledge my existence. It's gone a lot better since but certain aspects of it still lingers where it can manifest itself in certain situations. Trust me, having aspergers is one of the difficult things that one can go through so I doubt anyone associate it with being trendy. Black people and women have no idea what real segregation is or discrimination; at least they could be proud of themselves. Having aspergers is nothing to be proud about and I'll sadly have to live with it for the rest of my life.

The poorly-coined phrase, the overused laugh tracks, the fact that it tries waaaaay to hard to be "nerdy", the entire fanbase, take your pick.

OK, i can see it trying to hard. The laugh track thing i never understood because its filmed before a live studio audience here in Burbank, California. If they DO use laugh tracks alot, it just seems like a waste of time. Fanbase could be annoying, I don't mingle with fanbases often, however. So i wouldn't really know.

Trust me, I used to date a girl whose brother was extremely into so-called "nerd culture". He would isolate himself for days on end, playing World of Warcraft, according to her, and I only met him twice in the 8 months I dated her. Mostly the "nerd culture" isn't bad, but shows like this have a fanbase mainly consisting of hipsters and social outcasts.

Mine is Cheers. I can see reruns of that every day and never get bored of it. When a REALLY good episode comes on, it's like classic adventure. Sometimes i wish i could own a bar like that. Where everyone knows your name.

How was Lost? Never saw it but everyone gets all flustered when I tell them I've never seen it.
