About the Canadian positive ticket thing,
I've mentioned this before but when I was in maybe grade 5/6, I was hanging out in the play ground playing grounders with some friends, and some cops rolled up, and we for sure thought we were doing illegal/frowned upon, just cause of the way they were walking towards up. They pulled out a booklet type thing, the one that they would give tickets to people with.
Anyways, they asked us what we were up to, and if we were keeping out of trouble, and we explained we were just playing grounders. They ended up giving each of us 2 coupons each for a free Macs slushie. It was a good day.

TL;DR: Couple of kids playing on the playground, cops rolled up, made sure we were keeping out of trouble & got 2 free slushies each for being good.

Inventing Pringles is cool and all, but having that be the entire sum of your identity, to the point that even your family is like "oh man, he should be buried in a Pringles can because that's what he did" is... kind of depressing.

I don't believe in an afterlife, but I still care what happens after I die. I am invested in this world and what happens in it.

I think Farley would have been an amazing Shrek.
He's definitely near the top of the list of people I wish were still around.

No you idiot the fact is that Doritos can be made in a way that there is no powder.

Not that it would taste the same without it.

I call ******** on the Shrek one, just cause Chris Farley died in 1997, and Shrek was made in 2001

It takes years to produce an animated movie, according to wiki (I know...)
They started getting everything rolling in 1995.

but it is true. sad for his death, it wouldn't be the same without mike
User avatar #109 to #101 - stringfingerable (05/10/2013) [-]
They probably had to put production on pause.
#100 - superassassin (05/10/2013) [-]
Fill me out guys. I am merely wondering.

Shrek was released 2001. Chris Farley died 1997. Do they record voices FOUR years before releasing an animated movie?

Or did it take them extra time to record Mike Myers voice?
User avatar #108 to #100 - wherethawhitewomen (05/10/2013) [-]
Recording cartoon voice overs is a lot more difficult than it seems, it probably took about 6 - 8 months for Farley, then he died, probably took a couple more months to find a new actor, then another 6 - 8 months to record his part, plus all the other **** .

It does seem inaccurate though.
User avatar #102 to #100 - vatra (05/10/2013) [-]
Both. Think about it, it takes a long time to do a proper voice over for a movie. You have to sync the voice and animation perfectly. Then they had to start from scratch on the main character's voice.
User avatar #138 to #102 - wherethawhitewomen (05/11/2013) [-]
Exactly.
User avatar #140 to #138 - vatra (05/11/2013) [-]
Also to go with your statement above, Farley died in December 1997, Shrek came out in April 2001 so really it was three years and four months, not four years. Also i think they took the opportunity to edit the story, so that could account for the extra time.
