Going to point out that Thomas Edison was just saying that because he didn't WANT people using alternate current.

Yeah, pretty much sums up D/C vs. A/C.
How do I reply with an image?

When you press reply it will come up with a dotted box that says "drag and drop file here to upload" under that there is a button you can click that says "Or click here to select a file manually" press that and you can use any image you have saved on your computer.
You are welcome.

You need to have downloaded the image/gif first and then you click the "Or click here to select a file manually" button and select it wherever you saved it on your hard drive.

Most newspapers had absolutely no influence over any of this and would not be affected, rather it was just what they were told to tell as news. Thomas Edison was pretty much selling direct current and was basing an entire enterprize around it, and went out of his way to give alternating current a bad name by electrocuting horses and puppies in public shows.
