Don't tell me what to do. .. Was it worth it? Was it really worth getting fully geared up in diving equipment for that joke?

I took this picture and can tell exactly what is going on. This is a cold therapy pool. We keep the water at 51°. Athletes can get in this tank after a workout. It keeps the lactic acid moving out of your muscles, which is what makes you sore after a work out. The diver in the picture is actually doing leak detection. I shut off the pumps and chiller and he sits still on the bottom with a syringe full of dye. He lets the dye near suspect areas looking for water to pull through.

You got to see a dead body, and you didn't have to get almost hit by a train, get run after by a junkyard owner, get leeches all over from going through shallow swamp water, or get confronted by some 50's-esque douchebag with a knife named Ace. Be grateful.

When I was a freshman in high school I dove in a shallow pool and broke my neck. I crushed c5 and c6 vertebrae. They said the only reason I am alive and that im not paralyzed was because I wrestled in school.

You are very fortunate. A lot of people don't take me very seriously when I tell them not to dive in to shallow water. I hope you're doing well now :)

Im doing very well now. Im getting married soon and im buying a house in a couple of weeks. I fell very fortunate now but after it happened it was difficult both physically and emotionally. I was planning on joining the Marines but life changes. Thank you for this opportunity to open up like this. I truly appreciate to deal with ******** for being serious on here.

Poor guy. Don't worry, you did the right thing there. I'd panic in that situation, I'd like to believe I'd jump in but I honestly think I'd have an anxiety attack.

Jeez louis, that's horrifying. And I understand you were doing your job but you gave CPR to a dead man... Ohgosh... e.e
User avatar #47 to #46 - jennalynnification (05/09/2013) [-]
We have to by law, I think I could have gotten into quite a bit of trouble for not doing CPR. We were always told to never quit trying until they were a) taken by higher medical professionals or b) pronounced dead by a coroner.
User avatar #78 to #47 - elcreepo (05/09/2013) [-]
It is a law, though if anyone who is licensed to be able to give time of death pronounces the person dead you can legally stop trying.
