I still dont see why they dont do it on prisoners.

Let's say... One of said prisoners was a loved one? Or, because I can see some moron saying, "I hate everyone. Joke's on you, faggot. le XDDDD", let's say you don't hate everyone... Then what? Mom is in for a DUI and comes back permanently blind from the eye drops they tested on her. A little empathy may help you to reconsider your statement.

because that's human experimentation, which is not only illegal, but terrifying and disturbing. Search up Japan's unit 731.

Ok some things .

1)Human Rights
2)Some could be innocent (dont argue with this **** you know its true ,even in 2013 we still have tons of cases were people were wrongly accused )

And lets put some science in this **** aswell .

3) You can hardly call a prisoner a good Speciment .

Because of their life styles and health conditions (not the best in prison... (dont mention Norway please, not a good example of prison))the experiments would not give out correct results .Simply said . Rats and Pigs are better speciments because they are healthier , they mass reproduce ,and they can be kept in check easier than you would with humans .
TL:DR ~ Humans are not good speciments to work with . To many variables .DEAL WITH IT!
User avatar #95 to #82 - Kadzait (05/06/2013) [-]
so, you're saying that animals are better specimens to test products for humans on than humans?
User avatar #111 to #95 - mhden (05/06/2013) [-]
That is exactly what i am saying .
For an experiment to need a human as a speciment
would mean that it is too specialized .

You dont realy need that when you are monitoring the progress of a virus on cells .
Especialy when the cells are almsot identical between the rats and humans .
Most if not ALL experiments can use rats as subtitude for humans .
Only the END product would need human as speciments .

I will say it again . Humans have TOO MANY VARIABLES .
You can use them for experiments , but the data could become corupt because the
humans are hard to monitor their diet and health , and with each variable that changes so would the results .

Its not a hard concept realy .

Yeah, as opposed to the cruel punishment they did to people to deserve jail.
User avatar #96 to #81 - ilovehitler (05/06/2013) [-]
Yes, because smoking weed or getting drunk and loud is a cruel punishment they've done to others. Not everyone goes to prison for murder or arson.
User avatar #99 to #96 - harbingerwolf (05/06/2013) [-]
Then use your common ******* sense then and realise i was talking about serious criminals.
For ***** sake every single time something like this is mentioned everyone in the ******* world is suddenly innocent.
#112 to #99 - anon (05/06/2013) [-]
who are probably even worse specimens than rats, and we would go through them 500x faster than replenishing, unlike rats.
User avatar #101 to #99 - ilovehitler (05/06/2013) [-]
You made a generalization, and that's what I saw. There really are people who think that anyone in prison or jail deserves to burn. I've lived with people like that. So what you took for as a statement in which you must read between the line, I just saw another person thinking any minor crime is worthy of the electric chair.
User avatar #108 to #101 - harbingerwolf (05/06/2013) [-]
No, just the ones who really deserve it like murderers, pedo's, and the like of course.

Whats wrong with not wanting to harm unwilling animals and instead practice on ******* criminals?
Beside the moral aspect of course testing on humans would yielf more relevant results.

well... america descends from the UK (or Britain or england... didn't follow too much in history class) i guess... so yeah birds of the same feather and stuff

(and i love England :) )

Parts of America was founded/discovered by England but that's like saying the English are exactly like the Romans who invaded them. That was hundreds of years ago and we kinda got the message they didnt want anything to do with us.
User avatar #62 to #58 - animedudej (05/06/2013) [-]
why i even said that- wait, here's a better one... we're humans and we just do **** that other humans don't like because we're assholes
#60 to #58 - anon (05/06/2013) [-]
umm, the English are A LOT like the Romans, and inherited huge portions of their culture, which were blended with the other cultures that were there. There's an entire field of anthropology which is the study of that exact phenomenon.
User avatar #67 to #60 - Furubatsu (05/06/2013) [-]
I meant in a sense that yeah, there's bits and pieces of it left but each country likes to think they've moved on from their founders/make-betters.

Endangering people's lives because you're thick? Sounds pretty deserving of experiments to me. I can't think of a single crime you can get in prison for that doesn't warrant that as a punishment.

User avatar #38 to #37 - drdiddly (05/06/2013) [-]
Well if people claim they're innocent, they can use Lie Detectors so they don't get tested on by your idea
User avatar #124 to #38 - cocorosie (05/06/2013) [-]
I can trick lie detectors by digging my right toe into my shoe as hard as possible. By focusing on the pain you can trick it.
User avatar #61 to #38 - Furubatsu (05/06/2013) [-]
And even then, in most places a lie detector will not be held as evedence in trial because they can be cheated by the right psycho mind. There is a lot of room for error with this kind of thing.

#29 to #16 - tyroneisanigger (05/06/2013) [-]
That would be humorous if you ask me. Imagine Bubba the 7 foot tall, fat black man in prison for raping and killing a lady strapped to a chair with lipstick on or something.
He shouldn't of killed + raped someone then, hmm?
