Camping: otherwise what's known as "what intelligent people would do if actually in that situation".

Or you could just run around with your gun drawn like a ********, god forbid you even pretend that in game deaths mean anything.

<< to people who bitch about "camping".

This is why I enjoy game types where you only get one life. Chuck a flash bang into a building instead of charging in like an idiot.

If people find it "fun" to sit in a corner and just shoot anybody they see, that's fine for them. If somebody is running around, quick scoping and having "fun", that's fine for them. I'll just be running around with a Assault Shield trying to have "fun" myself.

This is the part people forget. Fun means something different to different people. And games are supposed to grant fun. Good job being smart.

It's not just the campers. It's also the ***** who run around. You can't stop because those run 'n gunners will **** you and you can't run around because the campers will rip you a new one from the other side of the map. The only way of killing them is with teamwork and unless you've got good friends in the match the likeliness of that happening are zero. MFW this happens

I bet you have a lot of fun driving around obeying traffic laws in GTA. Games aren't supposed to be played like real life

GTA isn't. But, and correct me if I am wrong, the point of a competitive game is to win. GTA is a single player game primarily, the point is to go through the story line.

or win by being more skilled than another team and not having to resort to camping...unless you are talking about COD then forget what I said. Skill doesn't exist in that game.

Implying that using a strategy that works isn't a skill.

Im just saying... I play more hardcore games where being a camper does absolutely nothing for you. In gears for example it comes down to out dodging your opponent and being perfect at landing all of your shots. 3 guys could flank you from different directions and if you have the skill your could clutch all three of them because you are better... It is the kind of game where someone bad at the game could play you to 20 and might only kill you once... It isn't about who sees who first and lands shots anywhere.

I think it's pretty funny when people bitch at snipers for camping. Oh, yeah, like a SNIPER, best equipped to sit off away from combat, is going to run up in close quarters to try and kill the enemy.

Of course. Realistically, anyone with the fairly heavy, long, and not easily mobile ARES M200 Cheytac Intervention would be running right into the line of fire to 'quickscope' the enemies.

I think it's funny the way everyone runs around period, it wasn't like that when it first come out on PS3 -everyone played like they were afraid of death, like they were actually in a warzone. By the next one everyone was playing it like it was Halo, just running around, jumping and shooting -paying attention to nothing but kill counts and points.

I actually find that people still have some sense in games like Battlefield. In Halo, at least, it makes sense to go running around for kills because you can. However, in Battlefield, people generally tend to use cover, move as a squad (and not in the open) or not even move, just fortify one location. And then there are tank squads that just absolutely wreck whatever they point at. Because they're doing it right.

Yeah, Halo's a completely different game, it's made for that kind of gameplay. I'll have to try battlefield some time -if it's anything like COD was in the beginning it'd be awesome.

Only reason I was frustrated with BF2 was the large maps. It took me a great while to get somewhere, and I would die right after, and traverse the land again. If you get a good position, it's really fun.
