It's ironic that "EA" in this comic is a pirate.

think of it as this: If there's no people giving them money for the games, we'll have nothing to pirate because the companies will go broke
User avatar #52 to #50 - defensive (05/05/2013) [-]
Not if people are responsible pirates. You pirate it, if you like it then buy it to support the company.

I pay for games because I'm not a cunt. If I don't think the game is worth the money, then I'm not gonna play it instead of justifying stealing it by saying it's worth playing but not worth buying.

That is the best way, you support the games that are worth it and don't throw money at games that were rushed and unfinished just to earn a few more dollars.
#124 to #123 - Rascal (05/05/2013) [-]
but still play the game and let the company know there is a demand for rushed, unfinished games

I'm usually not a pirate, but I will NOT pay a single ******* penny for an EA game. Not after they anally raped the Command & Conquer series.

I was so excited to play Simcity (2013). But when I heard about all the server issues, tiny ass maps, ****** AI, and needing to download Origin, that's when I lost all hope in EA.

-They ****** up SPORE with useless security features (Ironically enough becoming the most pirated game of 2008 despite this.)
They even said that rather than make SPORE comparable to Half-Life's quality, they would rather make it comparable to the first Sims, so that they would sell more games.

-Haven't made a good C&C game since Generals, only weird ass hybrids of RPG/Strategy games based off them.

- ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS GAME PRICES! Simcity was $60 ******* dollars when it came out, the last one was only $30!

- Their aim to make games for everybody rather than a specific audience renders most of their games unplayable for everybody expect those still amused by flashing lights on their screens and gameplay blander than raw tofu.

Worst of all, it's nearly impossible to boycott this company due the millions of ties they have to other gaming companies, no matter what mainstream game you buy, it seems EA somehow manages to make a buck off it, regardless whether they made it or not.

Anyways, until EA comes out with a game with either of the following criteria:

-Actually finished on release
-Does not require metric ********* of DLC to make the game even enjoyable
-Open to modding, so if the first criteria is not met, a least someone with half a brain could make a mod that fixes it.
-Not intended for everyone.
-Average Graphics, as all the really ****** games they have made recently look like a Blu-ray movie because they forgot that games are supposed to be fun as well as look decent. (Even with that said, one word, Minecraft)

= END OF PERSONAL THOUGHTS =

I'll give heaps of money to BIOWARE, the fact that it ends up with EA is just too damn bad. I love Mass Effect too much
#77 to #62 - Eichimaru (05/05/2013) [-]
Dumbass. I'm sure you loved the new ending too, didn't you, faggot?
User avatar #99 to #77 - kevandre (05/05/2013) [-]
Yep. I didn't have much issue with the initial ending aside from the fact that it was a bit short. The Extended Cut just made it even better.

Everyone blew it way the **** out of proportion.

You want to know how not to get ****** over by EA
>Want a game made by EA
>Requires online code and is $60 for new but comes with code
>Wait a few months for price to drop from $60 to $40
>Purchase used copy for $20 at gamestop or wherever game is sold
>Purchase online code for $10-$7
You just saved $30 and were able to check if the game was worth playing without risking legal actions taken against you.
#81 to #72 - smilingpyro (05/05/2013) [-]
> be me
> buy mass effect 3 used
> 30 dollars plus 10 for a new online code
> go home
> pop in disk
> enter online code
> code has already been used
> DA ****
> call
> have to make like 5 calls
> finally get a new "working" code
> enter code
> code has already been used
> take rage dump
> make call
> get told to purchase a new code
> sell mass effect 3

Ea has bad policies, bad games, BAD CODES, and horrible customer support
All they want is money

I actually have never been screwed over by EA. I always buy hard copy and never download any content. MFW everyone's ****** except for me.
