Tonight, I thought my husband was acting weird. We had made plans to meet at a nice
restaurant for dinner. I was shopping with my friends all day long, so I thought he was
upset at the met that I was a bit late, but he made no cemment en it. Conve reation
wasnt flowing, so I suggested that we go somewhere quiet so we eould talk. He agreed,
but he didnt say mueh. I asked him what was wrong; He said, "Nothing.' I asked him if
it was my fault that he was upset. He said he wasn' t upset, that it had nothing to do with
me, and not to we my about it. On the way home, I told him that I loved him. He smiled
slightly, and kept driving. I CERT explain his I dont know why he didnt say,
q love you, too.' When we got home, I felt as if I had lost him , as if he
wanted nothing to do with me aname re. He just sat the re quietly, and watched TV. He
to seem distant and absent. Finally, with silence all around us, I aided to
go to bed. About 15 minutes later, he ewe to bed. But I still felt that he was
distracted, and his thaughts were somewhere else. He fell asleep - I termed. I dont
know what to do. Pm almost sure that his thaughts are with someone else. My life is a
disaster.

A new FunnyJunk feature that scans pictures then turns it to words, basically a greentext repost tool.

OCR, optical character recognition.
It's been around for a bit but apparently nobody has bothered to upgrade it since '95. Why do you think google has you spell-checking their books with recaptcha? **** isn't very accurate unless it can properly place the font, and it's still hit or miss.

Why would this make him so distant and odd in behaviour? The guy is just as illogical and crazy as this woman, who apparently loves his motorcycle so much he won't take his mind off why it won't start just to tell his wife that he loves her too.

Well, he called her sir, thinking she was male. Obviously, if he knew she was female, he'd want to call her the equivalent of sir, i.e: ma'am. The "miss" was a correction, rather than a "Please, call me Dave" sorta thing.

Is the guy too dense to see his wife is worried about him O_o god damn is it that hard to just say "yeah motorcycles acting up can't figure out why" would prob prevent most of the crazy over thinking. If she didn't believe him then yeah she's REALLY over thinking it.
So the guy can't read his wife and the wife is paranoid as hell.

A lot of people subconsciously want the other person to worry about them so that they feel in a way comforted. That's why there's a time in nearly all relationships where someone will get into the "I'm fine" mode

Naw son. My gf was pulling this thing just last night. You know what I did? let her get it out of her system, then when she calmed down, pulled her in close and held her. Only way to deal sometimes. Cause if you try to comfort her too soon, well then you're just trying to cover your own ass cause you have something else to hide. May sound like a sexist cliche, but I've lived through it.

This post actually made me feel really relieved. I'm a few months in to the longest relationship I've ever been in, and for the past few hours before coming to FJ, I was worried sick that I might be losing her. A few of my thoughts were not far from the woman's thoughts, and it made me realise I'm probably over-thinking it and it's all in my head, and I feel much better about it now. Thanks for posting this at the right time, OP.

The more you over think the more stress it actually causes. Essentially it becomes its own self fulfilling prophecy. If you think its going to end and you over think it for so long you actually cause it to happen even if you think that something is wrong with them. In reality the problem wasn't that they wanted to break up, its that you thought they did so you kind of made it happen from being paranoid. Not to mention there is literally nothing you can do to stop a breakup from happening, if she's made up her mind then there's no changing it. Just enjoy the bliss while it it lasts, as you would an ice cream during summer (unless you're lactose intolerant then that really sucks). I would say trust me from experience but I'm just one of the thousands of unheard voices on the web.
