Tonight, I thought my husband was acting weird. We had made plans to meet at a nice
restaurant for dinner. I was shopping with my friends all day long, so I thought he was
upset at the met that I was a bit late, but he made no cemment en it. Conve reation
wasnt flowing, so I suggested that we go somewhere quiet so we eould talk. He agreed,
but he didnt say mueh. I asked him what was wrong; He said, "Nothing.' I asked him if
it was my fault that he was upset. He said he wasn' t upset, that it had nothing to do with
me, and not to we my about it. On the way home, I told him that I loved him. He smiled
slightly, and kept driving. I CERT explain his I dont know why he didnt say,
q love you, too.' When we got home, I felt as if I had lost him , as if he
wanted nothing to do with me aname re. He just sat the re quietly, and watched TV. He
to seem distant and absent. Finally, with silence all around us, I aided to
go to bed. About 15 minutes later, he ewe to bed. But I still felt that he was
distracted, and his thaughts were somewhere else. He fell asleep - I termed. I dont
know what to do. Pm almost sure that his thaughts are with someone else. My life is a
disaster.

"Motorcycle wont figure out why."
Dang stupid motorcycle.

Why would this make him so distant and odd in behaviour? The guy is just as illogical and crazy as this woman, who apparently loves his motorcycle so much he won't take his mind off why it won't start just to tell his wife that he loves her too.

The point is she is exaggerating and over thinking him being a little bit distracted.

Is the guy too dense to see his wife is worried about him O_o god damn is it that hard to just say "yeah motorcycles acting up can't figure out why" would prob prevent most of the crazy over thinking. If she didn't believe him then yeah she's REALLY over thinking it.
So the guy can't read his wife and the wife is paranoid as hell.

This post actually made me feel really relieved. I'm a few months in to the longest relationship I've ever been in, and for the past few hours before coming to FJ, I was worried sick that I might be losing her. A few of my thoughts were not far from the woman's thoughts, and it made me realise I'm probably over-thinking it and it's all in my head, and I feel much better about it now. Thanks for posting this at the right time, OP.

I have to say, with most of these posts taking jabs at women for acting like this, I use to always hate it. I thought it was bull to just assume that all women are this way and all that.

For the past 4 months I've been in a long-term relationship, not "dating" relationship but a "shared love" relationship, that has honestly been one of the best relationships in my life.

All of a sudden in the past week, she's been acting exactly like THIS. Except forwarding it to me in a passive-aggressive and manipulative way, and now I understand.

Not only is it usually women that pull this kind of crap, but the anger at the emotional abuse you take from it is not only just, it's a means for triumph when you let all your angered bile all over that bitch.

Remember to stand up for yourselves, people. If someone you care about is making you constantly worry about them in a controlling way, make your feelings known. Don't just sit back, open wide, and gargle **** just because you care a lot about someone.

now i agree that nobody should have to put up with this emotional abuse but please dont say its all women that do it... men can be douchebags and women can be bitches. emotional abuse and forcing a partner to worry about them is not restricted by gender

My dad does the same thing, when he gets some sort of problem he can't figure out he just becomes distant and doesn't talk much. Until he finds out how to fix it then he is back to normal.
