On the other hand, imagine all the XP the party would get from killing it!

Here's a confusing question. After Gandalf was brought back from death by the Eagle Lord and becomes Gandalf the White, does he get the xp for killing the balrog, or does that still count as a loss?

He just slipped out while no one was looking to the nearest town sold 300 brooms like a dovahkiin, traveled all over the land even walked through Morridor and bargained with merchants until he had enough pokedollars to buy new equipment and a train ticket to the forest where they found Gandalf the "White"......just blew the mind like a red bull at mach 10

He wasn't brought back from death by the eagle lord, he never died. Since, you know, the Valar are immortal douchebags. (Thus the balrog also never died)

they can't die of age
they can still die though
there are 2 blue ones who went south, nothing is known about them
Saruman fell of his own freakin tower and hit a spike, I'm pretty sure he died

The blue ones went East, and nothing was said of them dying. Also, Saruman never fell off of his tower, that was just some crap the movie-makers made up. Wormtongue "killed" Saruman at the end of the 3rd book, but that was only his physical body, the Valar and Maiar cannot actually die.

oh Well the only full exposure to the LOTR trilogy i've had are the BBC audio dramas and that's how they put it. So a balrog can't die?! NOW I've found something that terrifies me to my soul!
