Thanks for going out of your way pretty much solely to tell us you drank and smoked in high school.
What did that accomplish exactly?

You can accomplish a lot in high school even if you do drink and smoke often.

Come on, tell me for real, was your high school that hard? Most FJers are intelligent enough to be able to breeze through high school AP classes without ever taking the time to study and still maintain quite good grades.

I'm in high school, and most of the people that smoke are the dropout section. There is a nice little middle group, and as far as I can tell drinking doesn't affect it much at all, but anyway that wasn't my point.
My point was his comment wasn't really funny or interesting in the slightest, and he posted it pretty much for the sole reason of telling us that he drank and smoked in high school. I was asking what telling us that accomplished.

You don't know enough people. You probably shut in yourself, knit a tight group of close friends and never converse with others, never try to truly understand anyone else other than the people you have already cleared to deserve your attention.

I did, I made it my job, my passion, my calling to seek out every person I could and learn about them. What they do, why they do it, how it affects them, how things could have been different, and so on. What I found is people like you would classify the majority of people who smoke or drink to have a good time openly as failures, whether it be by social standards, moral standards, or academic standing. This, in itself is one of the worst failures mankind has ever accomplished. To have fallen to far and learned nothing, that is your failing. There are much more to those you consider "The dropout section", but you would never take the time to understand them. There is much hate in those who proclaim love, but you never would take the time to understand them. There is so much idiocy and hypocrisy in those who you would proclaim to be the most intelligent and fair, but you would never know this, because you would never know them. Do us all a favor, and keep to your ways. Do not try to understand as you have been doing, because you are poisonous, like someone who cast blame without knowing the crime, the reason, the victim, or the convicted.

There are many people who do smoke, drink, and party, that have the best of intentions, they have the lightest of hearts and the most forgiving of attitudes. However, most of the time, to people like you, they would never admit either of these things. Whether it be by modesty or fear they will never open themselves up to you, because you don't open your arms to them.

Before you ask how I would know you. Your typing, your demeanor, your choice of words, your reason behind saying what you do, they are all testament to who you are as a person. They betray you, as you would betray the world.

Oh, by the way. I'll make it simple this time so you can actually understand. He said that simply to openly proclaim who he is and what he does. Not to look cool, not to try to be funny, not to impress you in any way, because you don't matter to him, he was just being honest.

That is something we could all learn from, and all use. The world needs a little bit more than a little bit more of honesty.

Woah man, calm down. I've smoked, although it wasn't to my liking. I drink regularly. I don't have any problem with him doing either.
That comment had no purpose other than to show everyone he drank and smoked in high school, which is meaningless to us. As you can see by the thumbs, meaningless comments annoy people.
Anyway, I'm not assuming he's a dropout, but it is a fact that at least 60% of the regular pot smokers at my school are dropouts. It's just how it is. Saying it doesn't say anything about who I am.
Please don't reply to this comment, I felt I needed to clarify myself since you seemed to think you knew my personality from that couple of comments, but I don't really want to start a bloody argument with you. Nobody is going to read these comments, you don't need to feel like you need the last word.

I don't type for the sake of "Getting the last word", I type so my message is heard. I care not for thumbs either, my side, yours, or his. What I ask is you rethink what you said, just because you think 60% of your schools regular pot smokers are dropouts, do you think they're bad people? Do you think them, I don't know, less than anyone else? That's what I ask you re-evaluate there, because it's a very shallow thought. I thought I would respond to said shallow thought with a deep thought-provoking message, with the intent to, and nothing but, provoke thought.

Here's why. Regular pot smokers are not usually the ones who openly talk about weed, refer to it as dank, let it interfere with their lives, or conform to the general idea of what people think pot smokers are. Generally speaking, they are good hearted, deep, meaningful, caring people, even if they have their own unique to show it. Of course the "Smoke weed errday, drink til you drop" Yoloswagfags don't even belong in the same thread as this, let alone the conversation. However, the people I have found to smoke regularly are some of the best people that people can be. Sometimes they can be lazy, sometimes they can be annoying, but the bad apples shouldn't spoil the batch. Saying "Most of the people who smoke are in the dropout section" is taking it too far, just like my comment and evaluation of you, was taking it too far.

It isn't even that I feel insulted personally, being an avid smoker myself, while still going to college and having a well planned career ahead of me. I feel insulted for my friends, who have never done anything with naught but good intentions.

Example. My friends and I from back home in Galveston would get stoned out of our minds, and then go volunteer for work at the Senior Citizen Home, helping with whatever they would allow us to and keeping company to people who don't have their loved ones by their side as they should. Even the very few that did dropout.

Jesus Christ man, it's like you didn't even read any of my comments. I don't give a **** about pot smokers, it's about the pointlessness of the poster of the original comment wearing it like a badge.
User avatar #84 to #83 - Katzie (05/08/2013) [-]
I mentioned that most of the regular regular pot smokers at my school are terrible academics. I'm not judging their personalities. I'm not calling them bad people. I'm not even saying it's because of smoking. Do you see how unjustified your paragraphs of ranting about me judging all smokers and how I'm an example of 'mankind's worst failing' were?
#85 to #84 - chancevance (05/08/2013) [-]
You obviously didn't read my comment fully either, or at least didn't understand it the point I was making. I needn't say anything more, because you brought this down only for yourself. Re-read, re-read again, and if you don't understand it by then.... Tough Tittie.

Alright then, I suppose I could never hold a conversation with you and your obviously superior wit and intelligence.
