I'm not entirely sure how this is funny, but the little thing in the picture is called a "Sand Dollar" IIRC.

So, we use "dollars", which OP thinks are named after "sand dollars."

At least, that's how I'm perceiving this horrid post.

Actually, now that I think about the title, I realize that "sand dollars" (or something of the sort) are a product. I'm assuming the product is intended to cost a dollar, thus the name. And because of the name, stores can only sell it for a dollar.

The title is related because Arizona Iced Tea cans say have "99c" printed on the can, so stores aren't selling them for more.

oh god i remember when california was protesting arizona by not buying any arizona products. like cold stone, only had stores in arizona and california. when they started the strike cold stone opened up branches across the united states. then protested arizona iced tea, but is a new york company.
