He once had a sign that had "your all going to hell" written on it. I walked up, handed him a marker and instructed him as to how he may fix his mistake. Because grammar matters. Even for homeless people.

This channel's going to get really popular, and I'm going to get really butthurt.

Have anyone considered that, Maybe it's not a sign of apathetic jews, but rather because there's actually very few jews in comparison to other religious groups?

Agnosticism doesn't even have anything to do with beliefs. Agnostics can be both theists and atheists.
User avatar #100 to #96 - lolfire (04/30/2013) [-]
Technically that's not correct.

Agnostics acknowledge that no one can possibly know either way.
Knowing something and believing in something are different things.

It's a technicality but agnostics can be theists and atheists.

I know the content isn't supposed to be serious, but if it was, it would be statistically flawed--the fact that there's anything in the Jewish cup actually means that they're charitable, considering that only 0.22% of people in the world are Jewish (Less people than the entire population of the Netherlands).

Those bowls aren't an accurate representation, in case you were wondering - religious people statistically give much more to charity than atheists, at least in the US (to secular sources, not just donating to a church basket).

Religious people are 25% more likely to donate to charity and 23% more likely to volunteer (this refers to religious people of ALL faiths).

Anyone else find it ironic that the Athiest and Agnostic bowls have the most in them? Those that don't worship a deity saying to give, give the most?
User avatar #40 to #39 - jakelguy (04/30/2013) [-]
probably because they saw it as an opportunity to show up religion, not because of the goodness of thier heart.

There's a phone charger in the wall next to him, he has a separate bag for food, a half eaten subway sandwich, there's a white wire to the left of his leg in front of that red clothing. he has decent sneakers, a clean shirt, and a bag full of other signs.

This guy is a fake bum.

I love the fact that the Atheist and Agnostic bowls are the most full.

Since it is impossible to prove or disprove the existence of a higher being, atheism can be classified as a religion since it is the belief that there is no god.

And of course athiests win, because of their relentless need to prove themselves.

This is called a paradox, because if u thumb me down to the stone age, or rage in comments, you're proving me right.

Before you venture into the comments, let it be known that there's a bunch of us arguing over the definition of atheist and religion.
If that's not your thing, you have been warned.

Completely honest question but is Atheism technically considered a religion?
Because I've been told it's the absence of religion.
User avatar #369 to #363 - Zeigh (05/01/2013) [-]
It's the latter.
I hate to say it but it's the easiest way, Atheism is a religion like bald is a hair color.
Theism is a belief in one or more supernatural entities that generally rule over mankind in some unseen way.
Atheism is simply a lack of belief in the former.
