Except the Game Cube had the best controller ever. It was actually made to fit your hand. The Xbox controller then was bulky as **** .
It had a ton of buttons, but fit your hands well enough that every button was easily accessible. The NES and SNES controllers were probably akin to holding a thin brick.
I don't think I need to mention the N64 controller.

Controller mottos

Playstation: If it works, why change it?

Xbox: It's the little things that matter

Nintendo: Innovation is key

Gamecube was the best.

Wii came out more than seven years ago... the better part of a decade. God help us all.

Did it really? Dang... the last game I got for it might just have been No More Heroes 2

Another observation:
NES -> SNES 6 years
SNES -> N64 5 years
N64 -> Gamecube 5 years
Gamecube -> Wii 5 years
Wii -> Present 7 years

the 64 controller was meant to be held in one of three different ways depending on the style of game that was being played

I hate the part on this post about the GameCube controller, as the 360 and PS3 have just as many buttons and **** ...that is all. (.gif not related but I enjoy it)

the PS3 and 360 controller have three more than the gamecube. This whole post is pretty dumb though, the Wiimote/nunchuck is a damn comfortable controller, it's great being able to relax and hold each half of your controls in whatever position you want. It's only good for some games of course, but that's all it needs to be.

Yeah I agree! I like Nintendo and their controllers haha

there has never been a better controller than the N64 it gave freedom to the game devs to do what ever they wanted and mario kart donkey kong banjo kazooie and whole bunch of other games would have been **** without its revolutionary design

Yeah dude, cause the one thing I require from my controllers is that they be ergonomical while I'm slouched all over my couch .

If you're not sitting like this at the present moment, you have nothing more to say to me.

I find slouching over my chair more comfortable than the "ergonomically correct" position.
Thusly, in this case, ergonomics does not imply comfort.

Ergonomics is designed to minimize long-term injuries that one can acquire from bad posture/poorly made equipment, etc.
It minimizes discomfort in the long term by reducing unnecessary strain on the body, such as slouching or bending your neck too far forwards.
The N64 controller is probably more ergonomical in this regard compared to it's predecessors.

Yes, I know... And I'm saying that the N64 controller is in fact comfortable to use...
