My single mother didn't get any government programs, child support or alimony. I never forgot this and I took very good care of her after I got my degree up till the day she died. Not all women are money grubbers. My mother wore her self out, daily to provide. God damn it, now I miss my momma tonight.

Most funnyjunkers are terrified by women. So they feel the need to constantly produce complaining unfunny, repetitive posts which will be voted up by other like minded beta faggots.

Good on you mate, sounds like a lovely woman, and it's cool that you took care of her and stuff.

My mother classified eggs, beans and hotdogs as 3 course meal. for the entire day.

Now I know what your thinking: struggling family right?

Imagine how I felt looking out of the window to see x5 BMW sitting outside our garage.

As an avid reader of literature and aspiring writers, I look at language differently.
I don't classify certain words as only belonging to such and such. I love the english language so I use phrases, words idioms and expressions as I please. Basically I read a lot.

maybe he just wants to be not american. i don't hear people say mate unless they're faking a british or australian accent.
then again, i live in rural New England. half the people here are illiterate.

Yea I totally agree like the time my piece of **** dad skipped town with his mistress and left my mom and me just sitting there like we never existed. She worked as a neonatal intensive care unit nurse full time and had to pay for all the bills they once shared raise me, and get me through college. What a piece of weak **** she was taking my dad to court for child support. I mean come on right guys.
User avatar #98 to #97 - AnomynousUser (04/25/2013) [-]
My dad had to raise my brother and me all by himself and had no help financially or in pretty much any other way.
User avatar #99 to #98 - newsmyrna (04/25/2013) [-]
Congratulations what was his profession and where do you live (not exactly but metropolitan area)
User avatar #102 to #99 - AnomynousUser (04/25/2013) [-]
We had to move across the country and buy a new house in an exurb of Nashville. He's also paying for college for my brother all by himself, too.

Life sucks when you have a single parent, but whether or not it's a male or female parent shouldn't determine how much support is given from the outside.
User avatar #104 to #102 - newsmyrna (04/25/2013) [-]
I'm not talking from the outside I'm talking about child support alone that is all my mother took, and she deserved it because she wasn't the only person involved in bringing me into the world. Plus she was a nurse who made an ok salary and we both lived in South Jersey which with taxes and the fact that NJ is the most densely populated state making land expensive, caused our expenses to be hire than most. And since my parents both bought that house with their combined incomes in mind she couldn't afford to live there on her own. So your saying she should go to the poor house or move with me because my dad decided to ditch us for some random bitch. **** that I say she should have went for alimony too.
User avatar #133 to #104 - asschwitz (04/25/2013) [-]
I think what he was saying is the courts shouldn't decided what you get/don't get based on gender, but instead should base it off of your financial situation, your income, and similar things. I'm not saying the court you went to didn't do that, but a disappointing amount of courts in the US tend to bias towards women.
#139 to #133 - newsmyrna (04/25/2013) [-]
Well lets be honest asschwitz. In most cases historically women have made less money and have possession of the children which is why they tend to lean that way. Now I agree with you that a court shouldn't side with a woman just because she is a woman, but lumping all single divorced mothers together as charity cases and drags on the system is ludicrous.

Pic of Dachau not related.

... how do you know that?
User avatar #199 to #104 - AnomynousUser (04/25/2013) [-]
Much like asschwitz was saying, I did mean that women shouldn't be getting any more money than the man would have gotten. I wasn't really responding to your story in specific, but more of how in general, courts tend to give women more when it comes to when the parents break up and the woman has to care for the children than man and how unequally treated they are. And I left for school, which is why it took so long to reply.

Same kind of situation, my mom is a nuclear medicine technologists. She makes just enough to get by and feed me and my two brothers. My dad currently owes over $10,000 in arrears and is dragging his feet with his employer so that my mom isn't seeing a penny. Honestly my mom is the most strong, hardworking, and independent women i have ever met, and my dad is a cowardly bitch who can't even look his kids in the eye.

I'm a Democrat and a liberal, and I don't share those views... Generalization is stupid, regardless of who the target is. People think for themselves and have differing opinions, don't lump them all into one group.
User avatar #67 to #55 - darrensankari (04/25/2013) [-]
People are always going to be generalized as long as they identify themselves as part of a group, no matter what the issue at hand is.

It should be Illegal to not buy health insurance. I may be wrong but I think that statement is implying it should be Illegal for one to not be able to buy health insurance, which would be the same as it being legal to buy health insurance. You see there is a double negative there. Obviously the maker of this was meaning the exact opposite and was to retarded to just type "It should be illegal to buy health insurance."
