Osama bin Laden, along with the Afghan Mujahideen (which evolved into the Taliban) were the product of the American and Saudi funding, and Pakistani handiwork to fight a proxy war in Afghanistan against the Soviets.

Did you know that the Pakistan ISI officer, Colonel Sultan Amir, who is referred to by the west as the "grand Father of all terror" was invited to the white house by George H.W. Bush and given a glass encased piece of the Berlin wall with a plaque that read "To the one who dealt the first blow."?

Remember when these "terrorists" were the heroes of the free world? Soldiers of God, fighting for their freedoms?

“TO WATCH THE COURAGEOUS AFGHAN FREEDOM FIGHTERS BATTLE MODERN ARSENALS WITH SIMPLE HAND-HELD WEAPONS IS AN INSPIRATION TO THOSE WHO LOVE FREEDOM. THEIR COURAGE TEACHES US A GREAT LESSON—THAT THERE ARE THINGS IN THIS WORLD WORTH DEFENDING. TO THE AFGHAN PEOPLE, I SAY ON BEHALF OF ALL AMERICANS THAT WE ADMIRE YOUR HEROISM, YOUR DEVOTION TO FREEDOM, AND YOUR RELENTLESS STRUGGLE AGAINST YOUR OPPRESSORS."

Ronald Reagan, 40th President of the USofA.

Also here is the Islamic jurisprudence concerning Jihad (struggle) and Qital (war): You need to login to view this link

A Muslim Can not be a terrorist, a terrorist can not be a Muslim, because the Quran says "...If anyone killed a person - unless it was punishment for murder or for spreading mischief in the land - it (his sin)would be as if he killed all of humanity..." Quran 5:32

they were only considered freedom fighters to Americans when they were fighting off the Russians. But since you armed them up now they're everyone's problem. Nice going America.

Actually the only arms the Americans gave the terrorists were MANPADS (man portable air defense systems) mostly Russian made, used by Syria, captured by the Israelis, transferred to Pakistan via Egypt (Pakistan didn't want the ********* that a crate marked with the star of David would bring about). These weapons were bought back by the Americans after the Russian withdrawal, so in all honesty America didn't arm them! They were and continue to be armed by gunsmiths in Pakistan's Tribal Regions, who can make 1000 guns, along with the associated ammo any day every day using simple hand held tools. So even if Pakistan shuts down their shops (which they have done since 2006) the guns can be made in any cave. Also the IEDs used by the Afghans comes from Pakistani Nitrogenous fertilizers which are cheap as an Asian hooker even after the government of Pakistan raised the price 500% and created an artificial shortage.
Cost of a M1-Abrams $8.5 Million, crew training and equipment $50,000 each (crew of 4) cost to destroy: no more than $200 dollars worth of explosives, food, militants wage, and hashish.

A muslim can not be a terrorist, a terrorist can not be a Muslim? Then what about 9/11 or the Beslan School Massacre?
User avatar #15 to #13 - beanieman (04/22/2013) [-]
I gave a link to the Islamic law regarding Jihad and Qital , I suggest you read that and then tell me your self if those terrorists are or can be considered Muslims, or Mujahids if they don't follow the law set forth. And consider that this law was laid down 1400 years ago, where as the Geneva Convention (which governs modern day war fare) was not completed until 1949.

And also know that Islam, and sharia are social contracts they apply to those who accept them as their governing principles, if you deviate from the sharia you are not a Muslim. Just as a high court can strike down a piece of legislation because it is unconstitutional, any act of terrorism, (or any indiscriminate use of weapons during declared war) is unislamic because it is in stark conflict with sharia.
